@Massageman the digital id biometric passport and camera systems I've used in Asia and Europe are far superior and should be implemented everywhere. No need for queues. There's a scanner for fingerprint and camera for recognition that AI can log and check you are who you are. The crooks and libertarian types can line up elsewhere

Yes. Even in 2004 when I flew to Greece on a Mission Trip, we had to swap planes at Zurich, and grab a puddle-jumper flight that flew down the boot of Italy right to Athens, which I thought was kind of a cool way to navigate. Anyway, all the flights funneled INTO a central core- we got ID'ed there almost was fast as we could walk through- and then we were free to go as we pleased. The terminal was built like a sand timer/hourglass, with everything/one going through one incredibly efficient multi-lane "pinch point". After that, we could go anywhere, except backwards!

For me it’s really so scary. I was alone at the airport in 2019 and it was my first time flying alone. Once I found my gate to board I wanted to stay there until they called me to board but it was taking so long and I needed to pee and I had a bunch of luggage and didn’t know how to go to the bathroom thinking if I should leave my stuff but someone would maybe take it? Or if I take it all would it look weird cause I have a bunch of stuff? And my boots were too big and I couldn’t even walk in them because they were so big. I just wanted to look cute for the guy I was gonna meet. So I put these socks rolled up at the end of the shoe so they could fit me better but they were still loose and it was difficult to walk in them

so I finally got up with all my stuff and walked awkwardly toward the bathroom with my luggage and I didn’t even know where the bathroom was, I walked far and long down the path and then returned, I went to ask at a place where they sell water and they showed me the direction to the bathroom and I went and after I bought a water. I went back to sit down with all my stuff. I was so scared.

and soon I’ll be alone in the airport again. I feel I never grew up. That was my very first time alone anywhere and soon it will repeat itself, I’m scared again.

I guess most people would read a book or go eat somewhere.
I see many men would drink or so they say on here, that’s the last thing that would cross my mind to drink. That’s so weird to me.

I also remember looking around observing all the people waiting and how everyone was mostly flying with family or friends and almost nobody alone.. I’ remember thinking that everyone is normal traveling with family being happy while I’m alone and scared looking around having nobody to talk with. ..
