Good to know! That’s a good tip about possibly being moved up by picking a seat in the very back. I prefer the back anyway, but that would definitely be an added bonus!
Why do you like the middle seats?
The % thing on surviving a crash is towards rear and middle seats
Interesting, I never knew that!
@ChrisMaster69 If you pick a seat because you think the plane might crash, maybe you shouldn't be flying.
@AviatorTom I did a number of years working in Crash n Smash a colloquial name for aircraft recovery unit. I was also an avionics engineer in the RAF, I am more than happy not to fly, I do it fairly regularly, however I know what the bodies look like after than final stop.
@Flower7 thank you for MHG, most appreciated

Right, at some point, there’s nothing showing but clouds.
I just noticed your username has “aviator” in it. Is it because you’ve flown a lot?
@Flower7 As my profile says, I'm not a pilot, but I used to travel a lot on business all over the world, more than a million miles in my career in commercial aircraft. I flew so much that, after a while, I kinda felt like a pilot.
Yes, I wasn’t thinking you were a pilot. It’s just that your comment mentioned that you’ve been on a lot of planes because of your company.
Interesting, I didn’t know that some airlines let people sit wherever they want.
Have you ever been on a plane?
More than once, and it wasn't as horrible before. But sometime in the last year I started to dread flying for some reason, and now the thought makes me shiver. I didn't have this fear beforehand.
Lol, I’m sure you’d have a good time out on the wing!
A party on the wing & I’m sure you will join me right?
With enough alcohol, I probably would.
That’s cheating, you can have the booze when the plane lands. You can be my wing girl.
Ok, I’d do that!
Do you want to fly on the right wing or the left wing or tail wing?
The tail wing would be nice. So no one would see us.
I love the window seat too.
Makes sense! It’s really hard to stay upright while sleeping.
The best of both worlds!
yeah, only happened once and i had to agree to open the door if we crashed before i got the hot spot but yeah it was cool and then on the same flight when i went to the baggage claim my suitcase was the first one out... i felt blessed lol
Very nice! 😊I didn’t realize the only requirement for exit row is just to open the door. I’ve always avoided it because I thought it was a whole list of complicated things.
i think they prefer a strong looking guy and ofcourse gave me a ''crash'' course in how to unlock it in the event of needing to
I never ever use plane bathrooms. I always just use the one in the airport.
I try not to
Do you mean there’s less turbulence there?
That spot is the least bumpy of all seats on the plane.
Interesting, I didn’t know that!
Try it next time if you can. :-)
Same here! That’s my favorite spot also.
I like the window too. Especially if we’re over a city.
