If you won the lottery and received 5 billion dollars, where would you buy homes?

I would buy in Malibu, Cayman Islands, Hawaii (Maui), the south of France, and Italy on the Amalfi coast. I would also buy a large sailboat, a plane, and a Gibson Les Paul guitar. WHat you you buy?

I'd buy every house on the block and get rid of my crazy neighbors. The nice ones can stay if they help take care of the critters. "Can stay" as in "pay me rent at 5% below market value"... same same. I actually prefer renting when i go visit somewhere because then I dont' have to worry about squatters/natural disaster/whatever destroying my stuff, so probably wouldn't buy anything I coulnd't reach out and touch regularly, and since the rescue kittens are terrified of being outdoors or any kind of travel, or vehicles as a whole, my "reach out and touch" is limited.

I do miss Belize and Hong Kong though.

I think New Mexico near Santa Fe would be nice. I would probably get a beach house too, maybe on a remote part of the Oregon coast. Most of the rest would be put to work in businesses, ag lands, charity, my own think tank and private school, and precious metals.

Canadian Rockies, Maritime property somewhere that will last through worsening climate catastrophes, and a house in a city I'd like to live in (Vancouver?).

But I would start with the city house and Rockies lot. Maritime property is more leave it than take it.

I'd rather have more money leftover to help my friends move closer to me.

I wouldn't buy multiple homes honestly. I'd pay off my house here then pay off my families houses. I'd probably buy myself a car though and go top of the line for pc and monitors. The rest id just invest and create savings accounts for the kids. I dont know, I'm pretty boring when it comes to money.

I would build low income homes in Southwestern Pennsylvania, USA. But people would have to go through a background check to determine they're good people according to the background check also I would make sure all my tenants receive excellent service from me also would accept Section 8/ HUD approval.

A house in the hills/LA, Miami, Las Vegas, Honolulu (Hawaii) Tokyo, Japan and maybe one or two in Europe like Germany and Ireland. I would also buy a yacht and a small jet plane, season tickets to cub/bears games, go to the superbowl every year, a Tesla or mazaratti. There a lot of thing you can do with 5 billion.

Maybe just two homes in the United States, Long Island, New York and , Florida , one for winter one for summer, , maybe buy some classic cars a motorcycle and give money to my friends and family

I’d have my yacht moored in Palma in Mallorca, it’s central in the med so can travel around there.

Home would still be the Manchester, would probably have a house in London, New York and LA. After that it would be hotels

You can live off the interest from a couple of million. 5 billion means an annual income in the hundreds of millions, even at really crappy rates of interest.
