So I'm an Engineer and a Designer
I always told myself i need probably only about 10 - 20% of that money for myself to live comfortably and enjoy life. Because frankly i want to work, life without work is more meaningless than a scarecrow in an empty field.
So anyway, i had an idea a few years ago about a reclamation / Improvement center. Basically a self-sustsining living facility for people at risk, poor, homeless, runaways, etc that focuses more on improving and giving them what they need vs. What we have.
It's basically like a tiny , small, or medium apartment complex engineered to maintain and control certain masses of people depending on their situation.
With onsite and work groups in the area that are dedicated to both improve them, and provide income and stability, but also improve and beautify the communities nearby.
No system is perfect, but i sometimes feel bad for those less fortunate than myself.

I would buy 10,000 bags of fair trade coffee and let everyone get a free sample of it. I would host museum shows for rising artists that show cultural work to build their careers and I would introduce troubled teenagers to the world of dance and music, would host vegetable growing events for crime ridden communities and I’d host music competitions for rappers who want to rap about love and peace and I’d introduce a reward system in troubled schools where high achieving students get free groceries and steak dinners for two weeks and I’d introduce therapy pets to public libraries so people can get emotional support when they are lonely and I would host reading Q&A events and offer $20 gift cards to people every time they read a 600 page book, to improve literacy in North America and I’d get quotation posters where we show case the best of all religious traditions to spread religious tolerance and mutual respect for minority groups.
1- Buy all the clothes i want including from super expensive brands but mainly more normal ones so i don't waste too much money
2- Buy all the non fashion stuff that i have ever wanted (that aren't too expensive). plus replace my old phone and labtop with super new models that i could never afford (like the galaxy z flip thing.. those are so cool but so expensive.. :'( )
3- Change all the furniture in my room and basically completely revamp it
4- Get a car permit and buy a nice car but nothing too expensive (probably a bmw or something along those lines)
5- Put most of the money i got left aside and use it to pay for my food/necessecities/clothes for the next few years. I'll put a certain portion aside for travelling. And whatever's left i'll use it if i want to buy anything i don't really need. i'll budget it a little bit though so it lasts me long enough
It depends on how much money we're talking about. If it's something like 2 million, my wife probably quit her job, we'd pay off the house, buy a new car, pay off our two daughter's college loans, give some to various charities and my church.
If it's something like 300 million, we'd do all the above, buy houses for our daughters, do some traveling, and I'd contact Michelle Branch, and cover all her finances for producing her West Coast Time record album, which never got off the ground due to record companies jerking her around. It would be a TRULY Indy record, and a gift to Michelle and her fans.

depends on how much.
$1 million, keep most of it for the future in several banks. Buy several real estate houses to rent out. Would buy my bff a real house with no mortgage. go on a nice cruise, but since if you win $1 million, you only get $500K after taxes.. that is barely a nice house anymore.
$10 million or more? Take care of some family and friends for a home that is paid for. Buy real estate houses to rent. Bank the rest in lots of banks.
Give to Charity? i dont think so.. my fam and friends are my charity.Donate to some churches and charities.
Buy residences in Florida and offshore.
Fix my residence and sell it.
Purchase a Gulfstream and contract with a pilot on call.
Create education trust funds for my kids and possible grand children.
Upgrade my vehicles.
Travel a lot.
Replace my lousy teeth with implants.
Buy precious metals I physically possess so the government can't steal them and my wealth.
Collect exotic cars like Jay Leno.
I'm sure there's more. I haven't spent enough, yet.- s
I would buy an house for myself, another for my sister. I would also leave the country where I live, would get my driver's license, buy a brand new car. Then I would pay for my sister's medical treatments, I would travel around the world and I would give some money to charity.
The only people who would know I'd won anything would be me and my financial advisor. The money would be invested, and a portion of the earnings from those investments would go to a few charities, a search and rescue team know, and perhaps into a new computer system or website to promote the things that spark my passion.
I'd probably start a charitable trust, that way it would grow over time. We have a lot of extremally wealthy older people who created foundations to promote outdated 19th century ideologies that have grow into monsters that distorted our society and corrupted our legislation. Think koch foundation , ex plantation owner mentality founded by a guy who kept Hitler's war machine going using chemical technology he stole from his partner in the 1930's. (Seriously look it up)
$1.000.000?
1. 20% buying a house abroad to stay there during holidays - France, Italy, Turkey?
2. 20% investing in shares
3. 20% investing in gold
4. 20% investing in my business (incl. people) to grow
5. 20% investing / buying land
Refurbish How’s I live in now. Replaced my present car with a hybrid. Set up college fun for all my grandkids, and pay off their parents homes.
Then I would invest rest after paying off my bills, to make sure my family is taken care of while I’m alive and after I pass.Speed up some of my plans to move, buy a house instead of starting with rent. Share it with my parents and allow them to either move (if they want to), or do some of the renovation they have in mind. Put some aside for my niece. Give some to my sister. Help a few friends, not too much, whom I know have some money issues. Then save up for my future and my future children etc.
Depending on how much. I would hire someone to remodel my house. Buy a huge motor home to travel the US and Canada. Travel the world in luxury.
probably pay off a few close friends bills and maybe put money into a college fund for step grand kids.
I’d be living large with my whole neighborhood and invest some ofc. Bless the poor ones and give appreciation gifts to the ones I love and care for. If I’m blessed- we’re all eating good for many nights 😂
Invest it in me. For those who do win the lottery don't... as in as soon they touch that money, it is burned away on something stupid. And once it's gone, unlikely you'll win it again unless you know the secret. :)
Well I think I would have to buy a new ass because I have a crack in mind I would definitely take care of my family and there's a lot of really good stocks out there right now I would buy investing in them
Donate a portion of the money, use some to invest in my retirement, set myself to make life a little easier, and then spend a bit of it on fun stuff or my hobbies.
Pay off any money owed.
Buy properties to put on rent to keep the money coming in.
Go on a shopping spree and still probably buy really cheap stuff, lol.
For sure but myself and my parents a place and then I would start a fund or something so that I could continue to make money while I am using what I have do it like all those baseball players…
Gtfo here and fly ✈️ back to see my parents! Take them for a vacation! But also make sure to buy properties to invest in! See that $ grow!
Set up a volunteer centre to help local society.
assist those less well off, give them a chance in life.
I would change my name, my phone number, my email, quit my job. I’d hire a financial advisor. I’d disappear for a year, granted I’d keep in touch w my family. Then I’d return after that year to help those I would like to help.
Buy a nice big house with a pool, buy a dog, a cat and a Macaw and start a business. The rest take to the bank and also give some to people with few money.
It depends on how much money it is. I've already won a grand total of about $15 in lottery tickets and I spent every penny of it freely on myself!! You can't say I'M not a big spender!!
