+1 yI would get a private investigator to locate all the people from my past who treated me well, people from work and university and high school and I would buy a mansion and house animals and I would set up recreational programs for widowed seniors and disabled people so that they can feel included in the community and I would hire people to fly to poor countries to drop off gifts for poor people, I would also begin my own clothing line and invest in my appearance so I could become a fashion driver of my clothing branch and I would purchase a theatre and sell tickets to the performance and use that income to fund my recreational life, as well as starting my own bakery. And I would hire professional artists to co create movies and art work with me that I can sell, would also return to university part time for a second degree.

That's beautiful finding the people from your past to help them and helping the less fortunate.

My own small house is worth about £300k and a larger property in my village would set you back over £500k., a decent car would be £50k, you could easily spend £5-10k on a nice holiday. All that money would go pretty quick. How about we go for the £100,000,000 Euro Millions lottery, now that I could have some fun with.
In answer to the question I would pay of my mortgage, replace my 17 year old car and save the rest.10 Reply
3.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Plan out whether I still 'need' to ever work and how I can keep the money from losing value.
Buy myself a house back in my home country, close to my family.
Plan to finish my current job and find something a little more fun (same job, just a different project)
I don't know what my parents or sister really need, since they all do quite well, but I'll give them both 100k for anything they might need it for. Also create a bank account for my niece (<1 year old), put 100k in it for whatever she wants to do eventually.
If possible, give me parents the option to retire, although I'm not sure they'll take it.
Then I'll just live my life, a bit easier, without worries.11 Reply- +1 y

I especially wouldn't want anyone to know about it. Because I know how fake people can become when they know you have money. Even if they don't intend to. So I wouldn't tell my family about it if I could help it. Even if they had financial problems they likely caused on their own & can get out of on their own. Because I'm a firm believer in allowing the consequences of our actions to affect us.
As for my lifestyle, it wouldn't change much. I'd keep living with my family, spending next to nothing, still wearing the same old clothes & shoes, etc. But I'd invest in some protection. Stuff like security cameras & weapons for defense. And minor details of my current lifestyle would be improved. Little things that would enhance my already decent living experience. Stuff like: a better computer, monitor, router & modem, toothbrush, phone, pillows, waterproof mailbox, you name it.
But I'd make sure not to spend more than I have to. I prefer to buy good quality but cheap items. Nothing too overboard. And any item I want would have to pass & week or more of research. It's just how I am.
Something else that would change is how I spend my time. I'd devote more energy to bettering myself. I'd do research & practice becoming a better socializer. I don't usually like to play that game, but I'd need it more than ever since I'd likely be involved in future important negotiations, professional friendships, etc. I'd also spend a lot of time researching how to manage & invest my money so that I could increase it. Didn't grow up rich & I had parents that weren't wise with their money when they did have it. It's so silly & careless it makes me cringe. So I'll prefer to delay gratification & reap the benefits later. Even if it means that I'll have to be temporarily uncomfortable. - +1 y
Yes I'd stay anonymous about it as well. No one needs to know how much money I have but me
788 opinions shared on Other topic. $1 million? Hmm let's see. I would pay off my student loans and probably help some friends and other family members get out of debt. I would also give my mom some money so she can divorce my dad. Then I would lock up and hide away the rest and either keep it jic for emergencies or use it on another degree or flight school. I'm not sure if I can do all of this. That $1 million might be taxed

647 opinions shared on Other topic. I've thought about this before and obviously it would depend on how much I won but here it is. First things first would be a big holiday all expenses paid holiday for me and close my friends. Then a plot of land to build my dream house. I'd like to pay off my closest friends mortgages. Setup a trust fund for my cousin's young boys. Make a sizable donation to the local hospice. The rest would be put in income giving investments, and a pot that I could dip into when needed.

787 opinions shared on Other topic. I never win anything I don't have control over. That said IF I ever won Mega or Powerball I would have to get a friend of mine, an investment banker, to set up my two daughters, and my grandchildren with annuities. My grandnieces would be given college expenses, and my nephew and niece would have a retirement annuity.
A one-time donation to my old school, my college, the local church I attend, a couple of fire departments I used to be a member of.
The balance would be invested in a number of annuities that I could draw from for daily sustenance. I would like to upgrade my home and have a project vehicle (s) to play with.10 ReplyThe very first thing that I would do if I won the lottery all depending on how much money it was actually I would actually buy an existing business so that the money kept on flowing and I would be a part of that business to oversee all the planning all the money making and the financials but I would definitely buy something that will keep me making money

Exactly a lot of people would quit their jobs. Money doesn't last as long everything is so expensive and if it's cheap you don't want it. So yeah I would definitely either keep my job or start my own business. I've always been passionate about dance so I think maybe a dance studio

I would dedicate at least $500,000 of that to a business and if I could get a business for that amount of money the other or maybe $350,000 of that will go back into the business for like upgrades and you know things like that you got to think about it that would have been money that I had never had before so if I'm taking half of it and then another $350,000 and put it into a business I'm going to continue making money and then I guess whatever I have left over it's about to be some fucking off going on for real why not I'll be celebrating one in a million dollars and then I'll be celebrating opening my own business or joining my own new business ,🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤣mine no more bosses I will be officially the boss yeah baby

Hell yeah it is that's the primary goal for this lifetime for anybody I work as I said as a truck driver but I also have a truck so I can be in business for myself a pickup truck so I drop 18 wheeler during the day and I will pick up truck to start my own business there ain't nothing like financial freedom and being able to go to work when you want to there's nothing like it
2.5K opinions shared on Other topic. First I would pay off my mortgage and make repairs on my house and yard so it is sellable. I might stay here a while longer, or I might find a more suitable house for those of us living here. Donations to cancer care facilities and a museum or two. A new car (mine is an old piece of shit and not big enough for things I need it for). Provide funds for some medical problems in my family.
10 ReplyBuy land, build my parents a house - it's more for my mom. Hire house staff for them, a cook, maid and security guard.
Buy more land, build little condos that I would put up for short and long term rent. Maybe use those properties in partnership with my brother-in-law's business that invooves accomodation for people.
Help out with my sisters' college education.
Build THE family house, separate from the parents' house. On which I'd have a farm.10 ReplyI am currently investing with the money I earn. If I had won the lottery, I would have bought a house with a garden just like yours. I would also continue to invest. By the way, there is no cure for dementia. so even if you find the best doctor for your grandma, nothing changes.

+1 yIf I won it right now, I’d put enough of it in my card and buy Conga Materials online (can I do that? Are there separate cards for online shopping? Eh whatever), then I’ll just save the rest for when I’m ready to move out. I’d also just buy a small house too. Not a REALLY small one where it’s basically a garage, but like a duplex spilt in half. Then I’d just save the rest for bills and expenses and stuff like that.
