1. The village where I spent summer holidays. Back at home in the city, I lived in a very noisy place, where my grandma’s fight with my grandpa woke me up everyday. So, I only ever felt home at village in summers, where we had a cute summer villa, with my maternal grandparents who were the most understanding, kind and peaceful people I knew.
I used to think that was the most beautiful place in the world. Even now that I have been to far more beautiful places, when I go to new places, I picture myself back in my village, looking up at sky and dreaming about future. That was the heaven on Earth for me. And there I felt that life was beautiful.2. Suzhou - For it’s heavenly beauty and for giving me the most beautiful memories in my life and for making me feel that, there’s my 2nd home somewhere else in the world.
3. Bali, specifically DreamLand Beach
I thought that place was beautiful. but it’s connected to a scary story.
Where, one Ukrainian composer “stole” me away and sang me his written song on a deserted beach, just the two of us, next to the cliff and an ocean. (It wasn’t as romantic as it sounds like)
He pulled me in to kiss but I didn’t kiss and I told him he must have got a wrong opinion about me because I was in love with my then boyfriend, I had newly started dating my boyfriend at that time and I never intended to go on a beach with that Ukrainian, we were on friendly terms, he offered me to take me home with his bike, one day after a friends gathering and changed his mind on the way to my home and told me there was a place he wanted to show me and he took me on a deserted beach. I was freaked out. He probably thought because I was alone in Bali, I was an easy target or he mistaked my friendly attitude with flirting. Anyway, I was freaked out and so happy when I finally went home.
But the place was beautiful.
Thankfully, he got the message that I didn’t like him romantically and took me home safely. I also posted in my friends group that I was with that Ukrainian composer, just in case, so people would know my location.
Because that was creepy as hell.

Home, away from people
It used to be this town in the Sunni Triangle that a buddy and I "did a lot of work" in. Great food, extremely safe, because MFs didn't wanna play any "F around and find out" there. Some of the best chicken skewers I've ever had in my life and this place that served falafel with amba that was the perfect mix of sour/tangy and sweet. Guy there had the hookup on the best pomegranate I ever had, and there was a catfish farm a little outside town that the owner would invite us to for big cookouts. I actually looked forward to taking my future family there with me one day. Once a suicide bomber hugged him and I got sent home for mandatory vacation it all went to ist there, so there really IS no going back. Not to what was there. It will always be vivid in my mind though. I can remember the smell of the powdery sand and the fruit vendors when you entered the market and the chicken place was just around the corner on the right. Grove of palm trees behind it.
Next time you are there, go to The Ventana... saw my first Bobcat while out drinking wine on the back patio

Based on my experiences, where i travelled to: Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Czhech Republic, Austria, Montenegro, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UK, Cyprus, Germany, Armenia, Georgia, my selection would be:
Balearic islands (Spain)
I have not really been to many places but Nantucket Island is a really amazing place/. It has been sort of ruined by the rich people since the last time I was there but it is one of those supernatural places like the Bermuda Triangel.
I've been to some wonderful places.
The ones I love best so far are:
New England in the fall.
The Republic of Ireland.
The Romantische Straße in Bavaria.
But I'm with you, the coastal redwoods give me the most peace and tranquility. Fern Canyon (redwood) State Park in California is my favorite.I can’t say favorite. I like so many and many I have yet been to so…I would like to see more and return to others. As of this week…we really enjoy Annecy France. We also like Switzerland and Italy. We also like Bahamas and Hawaii and Kyoto …
our criterial - good weather, good food, good scenery.
ao hard to just restrict ourselves to one place you know?
I've been to many places in the world, on 5 of the continents. Picking one place as my favorite is hard, but I would have to pick the Highlands of Scotland. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, inexpensive, and relaxed living. Plus, the best scotch whiskey in the world is distilled there.
I didn't have to chance to travel a lot but I feel like I would be mesmerized if I can see Maldives one day.
I always play with google street view, I have many favorite place, currently my favorite place is Napoli, Italy. I love looking at the people at the balcony, the houses, the sea and the relaxing, chill vibes.
Right now it's Los Angeles until I visit other places.
Scotland, where a lot of my ancestries are from...
I hasn't really been outside the country but currently right now I really love Los Vegas the most.
near the mountains... during the winter months
Home (wherever that might be) with my husband and our children.
So many. Can't thing of. But Bangkok and Bali are definitely in my list. So are many other destinations that involve beaches. Also Jerusalem where the crusades where most infamous for 😀
Big Sur... ironic... I grew up in San Francisco. But that I've personally been to? Vancouver, B. C. That I want to go to? Singapore and Dubai are tied.
Went to the Redwood National Forest when I was a kid. Big Sur is awesome, too.
