What’s your favorite place on Earth?

I’ve been to so many beautiful places, but my favorite one is my summer getaway - my village, where my grandparents lived and I visited every summer after school ended. It was the best place to get rid of the noise of the capital.

That was a small village but thinking how happy I was there, makes me think even of the whole world stopped existing but that place stayed, I would still be happy and fulfilled there.

Sometimes I remember the things I dreamed about sitting on top of a tree house or on the roof of my home while looking at the sceneries and dreaming and even in my wildest dreams I couldn’t imagine I would live an adventure filled life like this.

When I feel happy I remember of that place and when I feel sad I also remember that place, seems like that little village house is my mind palace always giving me the peace of mind.

This park is Washington Park, a small PRIVATE park in the city of Troy NY.

On the evening of Wednesday, 22 AUG 1990, at that park and at that bench, I had a very very special moment. It would become the pinnacle of my life... and, unknowingly at the time, the end of it.

When I lived in the northeast USA, I would attempt to visit the park once a year between August 10th and August 22nd. I was very lucky in 1990 that I was able to get into the park; it's normally locked and I've never been able to go to that bench again.
