When it comes to spending habits of the very rich, which would you copy, and which would you reject?

Would you vacation in Mexican hotels every winter?

Would you buy a Hawaii beach front?

Would you dine at restaurants like it’s free water?

I would do the nice home but not the vacation or the restaurant

And I would not do luxury parties with French champagne, maybe a small barbecue with 5 friends at one table every month

I avoid almost all of them though I do have several houses. The thing about the super rich is they spend carelessly and greedily. I prefer to spend sparingly and compassionately. For example I take a group of homeless vets out to lunch 3x a week. Sure it costs about $6k but it helps them and as a result I have seen some of them disappear from the group only to show up a few weeks later and tell me they now have an apartment and a job and things are going much better.

I would travel a lot more, at least half the year. I would ski a lot. Other than that, probably not too much different. Buy a nice house I guess, but not some $30 million place.

Id like to think I was raised better than that. Id invest, save and move overseas. Saving is soooo important when you are rich because a poor person knows everything about being poor and can't get lower however a rich person can lose everything in a day so saving for the storms is always a good thing. Id like to go away on vacation once a year with my family but doenst need to be out the country all the time or at some mansion but yes hard work deserves rewards

Hmm , it depends on location, age and such for me. If I was say living in Manhattan probably have champagne parties have try to have a lot of party’s and network and make as many friends as possible to get the full experience.

However , that kind of lifestyle would get boring fast. So after maybe 3-5 years of doing that. I would move to the countryside and spend the majority of my money and time making a nice house.
