Moving off grid?

Can someone give me advice on the protocols of moving grid? Homestead...

Obviously:

• Learn to build a home that can withstand different types of weather.
• Have ways to have fresh water and how to use the bathroom and rid of the waste.
• Learn to grow things, and hunt.
• First aid kits.
• If there was a dire emergency though, get a way to contact 911.
• Learn to use tools.

There's probably things you can look up online, but those are what I think I should know when living off grid. I never thought of living off grid, as much as I hate people.
