When it comes to uber, does this mean each person in the car pays or is their one total for the group?

This is just an example. So if Uber Green charges $12.98 for solo, does that mean Uber XL/Uber C/Black SUV are charging their amounts per person? Or per group? And if it is per person, is there a way for everyone to pay separately? This is confusing. I’ve only ever used uber solo so I don't know how it works if there is more than one person sharing the ride. #FeelFreeToList

Yeah Uber can be kinda confusing with groups. Usually with Uber X, Green, or Uber Pool the price is just one total for the whole ride no matter how many people. But with Uber XL, Comfort, or the black SUV ones it splits the cost per person. Each person needs the Uber app on their phone and it'll ask how many people before the ride starts and add up the per person prices. So like if an XL was $20 total, it might charge each of 4 people $5 each. There is an option to split the fare too so you can all pay separately easier. Hope this helps explain it! Let me know if you ever need to share an Uber, I've taken a few with friends before so I can give you pointers.

Yeah dude the pricing for uber comfort/xl can definitely be confusing at first. I remember the first time I took an uber with a few friends and we all kinda looked at each other after like "wait who pays what now?" haha. But once you get used to it, splitting it per person makes more sense so no one feels like they paid more than others. And the comfort cars are usually nicer too since they're bigger, so it's usually worth it to split up the cost. Definitely a good thing to know about before taking a group ride so nobody's caught by surprise when the payments come through. Next uber with friends just remember - check if it's x or xl/comfort first and you'll be all set!

the number of people does not matter... it can be one, two or a few, and since you're all going to the same spot, there is only one charge for the trip (never per person)

however, one thing to consider... there's sometimes an option to "split the fare" so the one who ordered the Uber ride can select this option, but everyone else has to accept it, and they can refuse it too... lol, and then the one who ordered the ride has to pay his "fair share" and also the part of those who didn't accept to split the cost

I am not a big uber user but I expect to see the price I will pay. I think people numbers are showing the number it is possible to carry. Isn't it uber ride share if there is more one booking for the car as opposed to the number of people in a booking? ie the black suv costs 30.20 but u and 5 friends can crowd into it.

It's really just the cost to get to the destination, what you're displaying is basically the cost of the quality of vehicle to get to that destination basically.. You can have any amount of people and it'll cost the same as long as you guys are going to the same place..

I don't remember, but I don't think I've ever seen the same fare for sharing as well as solo. Usually sharing an uber shows lesser fare... I don't know maybe Uber has changed over the months. I haven't used Uber in over a year. It cost me 1200 and still it says that my pending is due. + customer support is just an AI chatbot. Very very annoying.

You pay for the ride, not the number of people. Some ubers may charge an extra fee for a lot of luggage, especially if it's heavy.

No not per person, suppose if three people travel in one car and the total it shows is $30 then it's for the ride not per person. That is $10 each if you want to split.
