I've seen a few of those around, and honestly, they're a fun. But when it comes to making a big life decision like where to live, they're more of a conversation starter than a definitive guide.
These quizzes often base their recommendations on a mix of lifestyle preferences, climate desires, and maybe even your favorite type of food or how you like to spend your weekends. They're okay for getting ideas, especially if you're open to exploring and haven't nailed down what you're looking for. But, they're taking a super complex decision and boiling it down to a few quirky questions, so take it with a grain of salt.
The best city for you to live in? A quiz might tell you to pack up and move to a bustling metropolis when you're more of a quiet, countryside kind of person, or vice versa.
If you're seriously pondering a move, consider what matters most to you. How about the weather—does the idea of a never-ending summer excite you, or are you all about that snow life?
Quizzes can be a good starting point, but follow them up with some solid research and maybe some visits to your top choices before making any decisions. Maybe one of those quiz answers will end up being the perfect fit.
" Boise, Idaho is a fantastic city that fits all of your criteria... ... a population of around 230,000, and located in the Western region of the United States, Boise is a comfortable city to live in. Nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Boise provides easy access to nature and outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, and skiing. The city boasts a good public transportation system, a strong public school system, and a moderate political leaning among its residents. Boise experiences hot summers and cold winters, offering a diverse range of activities and experiences throughout the year. "
does sound good to me...
At one time I thought about moving to Boise. I had been there before, but I still made a special trip there to check it out. It didn't take long to decide I did NOT want to live there. Hard to say why. I just didn't like it. If I was going to Idaho, I'd pick Twin Falls or Pocotello (sp?).
@WindAtMyBack I likely wouldn't, since Idaho is a white supremacist haven.
St Cloud Minnesota? No way in hell would I live there. Except I think I answered one of the questions very wrong. I think I added an extra zero to my salary. And I said surprise me for the weather. It surprised me alright. It picked like the coldest damn place in the country. where you can pee in the snow and yellow ice cubes hit the ground
I've traveled the country extensively and lived in a lot of places. I already know where I want to live and I'm living there. If I won the 1.5 billion lottery, I'd stay exactly where I am.
What about Frostbite Falls, Minn., the home of 60's cartoon characters Rocket J. "Rocky" Squirrel and his BFF, Bullwinkle Moose?
Mines said San Diego, CA which is close to where I would like to live. I want to live in Los Angeles.
Geelong, Victoria.

It told me Destin Florida. I currently looking to relocate to the Ft Myers area so it was close.
No, this quiz sucks.
I already have Thailand in my scope. Still deciding between Pattaya (cheaper, closer to Bangkok) and Phuket (more expensive, better beaches).
One where the government leaves you alone ad where the police will show up if you call them. That rules out every Democrat controlled and Sanctuary city.
I think these quizzes are better at telling where people like to live, not where people think they should live.
You probably don’t wanna live in a sanctuary city. Even the nyc mayor is saying that they cannot sustain this and with the continual flood of people coming in your probably not gonna have a great quality of life.
I don't think they're the greatest quizzes to use. Ultimately, it comes down to feel. If you want to visit it, and you like it, then stay. But don't just use a link to determine something.
What cities have you thought about going to?
I couldn't complete it, 'cuz I refused to provide my name and household income. Income I can understand, but what does my name have to do with which city is best for me?
You should live just outside any city. Less pollution and problems
Neither. Move to the suburbs or something in the country. Why is it ever woman's goal to move to a big city?
While I don't think it's every woman's goal to move to a big city, big city usually means more job opportunities and making way more money.
You fail to add the rampant crime in said cities
There are some cities with the lowest crime rates such as Irvine, CA, Rochester, NY, Tampa, FL, Portland, Maine, Boston, MA, Orlando, FL and Naples, FL. Those are just a few. There are many others that are pretty safe to live in.
Are these the cities these women are going to?
Boston, Orlando and Portland for sure. They have great job opportunities there.
Yet still can't pay the rent
If they have good jobs then they would be able to pay the rent.
I know people with 3 jobs and they still can't pay their rent
Then they don't have good high paying jobs. If you live in the city, you should be getting paid a good bit for the cost of living unless they don't have degrees then that makes sense. Most people I know don't have to work 2 to 3 jobs if they have degrees especially a MA/MS or PHD degree.
Just because you have a degree in something doesn't mean you'll get a job with it
That's pretty sad if you don't get a job with a Masters or PHD
Are you serious? No. Those quizzes are shameless click bait. Wake up. Do actual research on where you want to live.
None. Cities are all liberal hellholes of violence and crime
One that's affordable, has the career options you want, is safe, and has a climate you can adapt to
Denver, Colorado. Not bad actually. I did thought of living in Colorado someday.
Depends, what are the options
Los Angeles always wins 🏆🫠
If you were asking only out of NYC versus LA 👀😅
Dubai 🤩
