There is a youtube that makes good combination between two.
I do not. If there was an Atlantis, I believe its central capital was in the Azores Islands on the Mid Atlantic Ridge.. I think Atlantis came to its end during the rapid onset of the Interglacial period concurrent the Hiawatha meteor strike on Greenland that brought on the onset of the Younger Dryas Period. I think Plato's story about it's flood was caused by the tsunami the meteor caused, wiping out Atlantis in one day. That was the same period when, especially the Northern Hemisphere megafauna became extinct. There are hints that Atlantis was involved with maritime expansion both in Europe and North America.

I have watched that video, and while Jimmy makes a compelling case, he ignores far too much evidence and stretches the rest. Randall Carlson makes a far more compelling case Atlantis was on the Azores plateau.
@Dargil I see you buddy. Loved your breakdown!!
I remember hearing about the Richat Structure years ago! Overall I find it very interesting.
While I love the idea that it was the site of Atlantis, it's sadly been widely subverted by the sscientific community. Neolithic sites have been uncovered in and around the structure, but nothing to the scale of Atlantis. ALTHOUGH, it's not been proven beyond doubt that it was never there. So here's hoping!
I don't believe Atlantis was anything more than a method used by Plato to convey the points he wanted to make in 'Timaeus' and 'Critias'. The "eye" is a natural formation, not an artificial structure.

Atlantis never was. There are other lands that were inhabitated not too long ago that are now underwater. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doggerland
Interesting. Thanks for sharing this.
I never heard of that place in western Africa. He makes a compelling case in this quick overview.
I'd like to hear more archaeological and geological details.Saw one of these before saying it was off the coast of some country or another. Sahara would be as good a place as any. Massive amounts of sand would hide it pretty well
Atlantis is a myth, invented by Plato, as per his system of "noble lies" detailed in The Republic.
Not at all. I see why it would be easy to think that, because of the shape, but no evidence has been sound of any structures or large scale civilization, so it's extremely unlikely.
I don't know and I don't care enough to watch a 26-minute video.
it was modeled after the Minoan civilation on Crete and Thera which was wiped out by the eruption and destruction of Thera
Yeah I have seen a show about it and it sure seems like a good candidate.
i think that would be cool so much is lost to history honestly
Yes, most likely it is :)
It's possible but I'm not sure
impossible, it dried and not there.
Mmmmmmm, could be!
I watched the video and it makes sense
No - it was in Mississippi
So far it meets the most similarities
Sounds interesting
