I am too scared to do that 😨
I travelled alone many times before and even moved overseas for studies on my own. Like anything in life there's ups and downs but I'm glad I did it and got the experience. These days one is exposed to too much bad and negative news, especially through social media and the internet, about what is happening in the world that I can imagine there's more fear than ever before. However, the same tools also have open doors to meeting other similar souls like yourself who wants to travel the world.
There are plenty of websites and forums about traveling overseas and where you can find travel buddies to travel with. Alternatively again plenty of sites, facebook pages etc, you can reach out in to finding similar minded girls in the city or country you end up visiting. You can also do tons of research about which countries to be considered safer and visit their. You can also go overseas for shorter studies or language courses. Just to get that exposure and experience something different.
Don't let the fear stop you and sadly the older one gets, the more the fear grows.

Yes, I've traveled alone a lot. Through lots of countries, out in the wilderness, all over. My experiences have been mostly really amazing and fulfilling. I also met a lot of people along the way, and so I wasn't alone all the time I was "alone".
It's fantastic to be out there enjoying life. I hope your fear is one you can conquer and doesn't hamper your existence too much.
I don’t think even nomads did that. I mean maybe one or two. I’ve got to travel with items, plans, safety measures or gear, and a dog or a plus one. If I happen to travel alone it’s gonna be a public place, I have to know where emergency rooms are located/ fire extinguishers/ exits/ and aeds. It’s usually a place I know or just a popular city. I wouldn’t travel and try a secluded spot unless I felt confident enough or just didn’t mind an accident/ dying/ or any other issue possibly with a male.
I’ve traveled with my family which includes brothers and I tell you- the feeling is as if I own the world. I feel safe with them. We’re all alert. It’s a big group. I wish I could feel that way when I travel alone but I just don’t. Still enjoyable, but more of me having to make sure I’m alert and other civilians are around. Do be careful! If it’s a new place always try NOT to look as a tourist but if you liked to, just be mindful of scams of any kind. Every place from A-Z has them.

Yes, I bummed around the northeast by myself since I was 14. I would not recommend it today especially for a female.
Yes I went to Korea alone , I had some friends there who helped me out but I would've been fine even if I didn't know anyone there. I went to India my girlfriend lives there but it was the first time we met irl so some people said they'd be scared but I wasn't. And it went well. We had a few difficulties but that was just circumstances. I've also gone to the Netherlands alone for a concert I have relatives there and I met them but I spent most of my time alone and planned the whole trip alone too. I didn't even know they would come to meet me because they didn't live in Amsterdam where I was going so I didn't know they would come out. But they did and it was nice. I'll travel alone some more in the future but as an adult it is harder to find the time. I have a lot of things I'm trying to work on and it's harder to just take a break and drop everything for a while. But this summer I might go to portugal. I'll meet up with some relatives there but I'll go alone but only if it fits in my plans otherwise I'll have to skip it and do something else with my holidays.
Yes I have. It was my first trip both as domestic and international. Never had I travelled by myself before and I was going to Vietnam.
And I had nothing but fond memories of the same. Local language is not English and Indian or any food is not easy to find but till it was memorable.
Trying to communicate with the locals, switching hotels, taking the public transport or cabs, it was all fun and amazing.
It might seem scary but the brain doesn't think out of the box until u get into new situations or places. So, in that sense the challenges and everything gave me experience.Yeah. Started at a young age. My parents told me I would take the bus alone to go to the city around 8 years. old since I didn’t have to pay I went everywhere without a phone or telling my parents.
as an adult…I often drive/go places alone. But travel … I always had a good friend to travel with.
I am not a home body.I've flown alone, but once I got to my destination I met up with family and traveled with them.
I don't know if I'd be scared, it's just less awkward and easier when you're with someone else. It's good to have someone who can have your back. That being said, I've gone out alone before. My biggest issue is getting to my destination, and then getting to my hotel. I feel once I got past that part, I would be okay bymyself especially in the vicinity.
Yes, I always travel alone, this is good for my mind and I can know other cultures, I learn to be resourceful
I want to do that this year actually, a little scared too since I haven't traveled alone before

Not fully alone but just me and my kids have traveled many times
I'm still too broke to do anything. Although i must say i have relocated alone and by myself when i was 27 years old to my homeland. I'm here without any family or friends.
There are lots of people who do this and share their experiences on youtube.
Of course! And that started long before cell phones and GPS.
Most of my business travel was alone. It's no big deal.
I've taken a couple flights alone but nothing more. I'd rather spend time with people
Yes, I backpacked my way around Europe for 6 weeks. I had no money for hotels, so I just slept wherever I could.
I prefer along can go where you want when you want and eat when and where you want get up or go to bed when you want, and you never know who you meet on your trip
Once. Tahiti.
It was liberating and nice.
Yes, I have. Traveled a lot actually. Most of the time it was great. Due to weather conditions.
Traveled across the country 3 times by myself, little crazy but fun.
Yeah, definitely can be fun. Kinda depends on the destination I think
