Has anyone ever solo traveled?

Question

I feel like at the age of 24 I really need to start seeing the world more. I went out of the country for the first time last May and I loved it but I want to experience more out of life.

I’m going to Miami this May with some friends for 2 days but I’m thinking about going 2 days ahead of them so that I could get more out of the trip. I feel like taking more solo trips would help me advance more.

Yes I've traveled by myself. Although often I knew people in the places that I visited, which is nice.

Where are you thinking about going?

For me the next trips I'm thinking about are Japan because the Yen is cheap maybe I'll go back to Korea too in the same trip. Then Palm Springs because my relatives have a house there. And maybe Maledives. I wanna get a diving certificate for first 30 meters and then 60 meters at some point. I'd like to do it in a nice place. It's not urgent but it's something I'd enjoy :) But I haven't decided yet where I'm headed this year, I'm gonna just live for now and then plan it a bit later.

I used to go a lot of places by myself before I got married. I would go camping by myself or just drive someplace I never went before. Sometimes I would sleep overnight in the back on my Chevy hatchback.

Personally, I prefer traveling solo. I've been to a few countries by myself, over the past few years, and I've always had fun experiences. I'd do some research on the country though - and if you'd like to see some local stuff, but don't know where to start, I'd suggest you book hostels, as they often organise things for their guests.

To Vegas and Charlotte. I wanted to go to Miami solo but my different male friends that live there all said its very unsafe and best to travel in crowds of like 10 because people stay robbing and jumping folks

I solo traveled to Costa Rico to a surf camp. It was wonderful fun. Barely learned to surf, but met lovely people. And your time is your own. You aren't obligated to "go with the tour group" or any such nonsense.

And when you want to go nowhere, you also have that option. I think it can be relaxing.

I really recommend traveling alone... maybe not always, as it's fun to have people you like with you, but from time to time it's really nice :D

Yes I've traveled a lot by myself. But always be careful. Unfortunately a woman alone in some countries is not a smart idea. If you stick to the mainstream first world countries you should be fine. But certain parts of the world can be dangerous. So always check out the safety factor first before you go.

I have travelled alone several times ever since I was 15 and it's very fun. I got used to and I find it very easy. Soon I will be travelling alone to the US to meet a friend and I will stay with him for 5 - 6 months.
