Yes, Thanks to the Americans I was given the opportunity to sit in a Boeing Chinook helicopter when I evacuated as a diplomat in Afghanistan on 15th August 2021. We flew from the American embassy to the airport, a short ride of 10-15 minutes, it was super frightening and cool, just like Counter Strike games… with military personnel onboard aiming heavy machineguns at the rare tale of the helicopter.

I was on one in the mountains as a kid once it was like a big party and they had a helicopter you could take rides on. And then when I was in the military I was on a big one that could hold like 24 people or something like that.

Yes, i’ve been on several throughout my life. My favorite was one of the  really  nice corporate ones, the company my dad works for, owns. I don’t know anything about them, but this one had landing gear, like a plane. (if that helps ¯\_(ッ)_/¯ ) It was so luxurious, and quiet enough, that although available, we didn't have to wear the headphone thingies with the microphone.

Yea. It was a long time ago (1969). I flew in a tourist helicopter around Mount Rushmore. It wasn't a long flight - maybe 15-20 minutes.

I have not and probably would not just because I don’t adjust went to heights. Which is kinda ironic because I usually fly out the country even 4-6 weeks. 🤣

Nope, I can't say I've ever have this experience. However, it's something that scares me because I've heard that helicopters are more prone to crashes. 😬

While in the Navy I flew on a Sea King from my ship to another out in the middle of nowhere; when we took off, the pilot took us straight up one mile. What a trip!
