Mid-1970s. It was a 1969 Austin-Healey Sprite...

This was the exact car...

It was the worst piece of garbage mechanically, breaking down almost every time I used it. But man was that thing a chick magnet! I'd sometimes take three or four girls at a time for a ride in it up in the mountains in Arizona where I was living at the time. Had more fun with that car then I think I've had with anything else I've owned in my life.

Somewhere around 19 years old.

My first vee hickle was a 90cc Vespa scooter, and I steadily moved up to larger bikes.

I didn't need to buy a car until I had my first real 40 hr a week job, then I saved up a down payment and bought a brand new one.

Otherwise my parents had an extra one I could use when I needed one.

Uh. 21 so 1999. It was a single cab truck to haul all my stuff around. My female GSD likes to flip the steering gear shift to N when waiting to cross oncoming traffic, then sit back and smile. "Lets see you get us out of this one.."
When I switched to an extended cab to seat belt her comedic butt in the back space.

Kids: don't be pressured to make a decision (there is no other prospective buyer) and get your first car checked out by someone or some organisation that knows what they're doing!

15. It was a 1988 mustang hatchback that my aunt gave me after trying to trade it in on a new car. They told her it was a POS and they didn't want it. So I gifted it. And it was a major POS had it less than a year before I bought a 1985 Ford Ranger.
