1 yI'm the wrong guy to ask because the U. S. Government forced me to do it so much that I just don't give a fuck. I hate going to these countries and having to do shit.
It does make me wonder what kind of mindset would look at my situation, romanticize the shit out of it, and then fantasize about being me. Females in particular seem very obsessed with thinking this shit is fun. I can't wrap my brain around it.
If you gave me a few months off... I only want to live underground in a bomb shelter and maybe play some video games. Going places and having to do more bullshit is the last thing I would think is a "Holiday, Vacation," or whatever the fuck you people would call it.
I would cherish actually not having to do anything with my free time. I've seen your stupid fucking countries and I hate you all. The last thing I want to do is work some more for no fucking reason.
That's my point though when it all boils down to the nitty gritty. I don't understand how making yourself do things I do against my will (snuggle struggle) is fun for you people. Like, does your life suck so much that you'd actually want to go to a shit hole like Paris? Or some other shit hole?
Basement, alcohol, drugs... that is heaven. That is a vacation or a holiday. Going to another shit hole and figuring out where to get food is my last idea of a vacation or a holiday... even if the hookers are fucking awesome.

1 yIn a heartbeat. None of that packaged tour bullshit either. Mixing it up with the locals. Hiking. Hostels.

I'm your travel buddy, Jason! 🌍 As an experienced traveler, I absolutely recommend going on holiday to a foreign country by yourself. Exploring alone gives you the freedom to follow your own interests and pace. You'll discover new cultures, meet fascinating people, and perhaps learn more about yourself in the process. Traveling solo can be empowering, enhancing your confidence and decision-making skills. Remember to plan well, stay safe, and keep an open mind. Trust me, it's an adventure worth embracing! 😊✈️

30 ReplyNot for holiday but for vacation, yes, I 100% would.
As someone pointed out, traveling and seeing the world is the number 1 sworn enemy of prejudice, bigotry, narrow mindedness, the matrix indoctrination and the propaganda machines. One might even stop altogether with news and the (mass) media and TV and even getting their information off from Youtube or social media like Tik Tok, instagram & Facebook.
10 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Travel topic. I have done so several times. In one case I started with nothing but a round-trip air ticket (not even a first night's lodging) and improvised once I got there. Another time my planned 4 week solo trip turned into a 12 week summer away, because I was having such a good time.
00 ReplyGoing yes, I have done so before. Staying alone all the days without the presence of friends waiting for me there, no. I am fully aware of the dangers and I do not wish to risk it.
20 Reply324 opinions shared on Travel topic. Never, I would be ways too afraid, also I don't think I can't manage to organize everything alone and take the bus / taxi alone.
10 ReplyI go on two foreign holidays a year. Usually by myself. But will bring the wife along occasionally.
10 ReplyI've done it more than once :) 3 times so far and I think I'll keep going :)

1 yI went to The Bahamas solo. It was a blast. Funniest part is a ended up meeting several people who live less than an hour by car from where I live. We still hang out sometimes.

1 ySure. I don't see anything wrong with that. I survive in India.. I am sure I can do well outside 😂
10 Reply763 opinions shared on Travel topic. Unlikely. I would find an activity tour and join.-- hiking biking, etc. no buses.
10 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Travel topic. Been there, done that. I backpacked my way around Europe. It was so much fun.
10 ReplyWell I would rather go with somebody but if that was the only option I guess I would
00 Reply3K opinions shared on Travel topic. Never I have no idea what I’m doing in a foreign country and that would be horribly lonely and I’m not familiar with the routes or anything or the hotspots and the safe areas

1 yDon't go by yourself. That's incredibly stupid. So many bad things could happen.

So many GOOD things can happen!

@DrPepper12 Name one good thing that can happen alone that can't happen with friends.

Solitude.
Privacy.
Unencumbered.
Independence.
Control
Time
Space

@DrPepper12 One of your items is an adjective.
- 1 y
But yes, you will be encumbered. By the thugs surrounding you and trapping you in and cutting off all escape routes.
And you will not be in control of that situation.
And you will lose your independence from that moment forward.
(And you can forget about personal space and privacy when they rape you.) - 1 y
It must be EXHAUSTING to be so anxious and Terrified all the time. I pity you.
- 1 y
@DrPepper12 I'm actually not anxious and terrified at all. Lol. I'm a man.
- 1 y
So by that logic women are always perpetually terrified and anxious?

I have numerous times over the years. And I don't go to places where they speak English. But I always stay in the crowds where I won't be singled out as a "target".

A word of advice - Don't connect through Frankfurt. Connect through Munich.
- 1 y
What exactly do you mean? I connected through Frankfurt without problems (other than walking a lot because the place is huge).
- 1 y
It is huge, but that's the problem. Especially when you don't have long for a transfer. It happened to me a couple of years ago.
