Trending & News Japan, country is richer and I would just go live in a pretty historic town like Gifu or Gion district or maybe go live in Hokkaido Island as there's lots of snow and I love snow. I also prefer Japanese culture tea ceremony, festival while wearing yukata, etc...
You can't live in Gion district, it's for Geisha and I think they banned foreigners now
I've seen the other town before but forgot the name. It looks very cool, but who knows if they would accept you.
I heard Hokkaido is a bit more tolerant towards foreigners
@KostasKouvalis It was just to give an idea to the kind of town i find pretty in Japan, like which architecture I like. Yes they banned foreigner which is crazy as Japanee themselves harass the geisha by following them everywhere to get a pics (as they do with school student to get panties shot..)
That's definitely another story I don't think that they would
Japanese are not know to accept foreigner for tourist yes but that's about it
maybe I don't know
I find those pretty as well. There were some other ones too, but I don't remember their names. We were gonna go to Japan, but went to Taiwan instead after reading about how strict Japan is. Everyone says it's not a good country to visit if you've never been to Asia.
Maybe I shouldn't say never though as I've been to a few places I thought i would never visit
Exactly, and they do that with foreigners too. And that's what pisses me off and that's exactly the point I was trying to make in my other question. Asians are like this. This Singapore guy picked up a wagon at a museum we were at in Taiwan and the lady said nothing, but if I did that, she probably would've screamed at me. They are hypocrites.
Yeah. They actually had to pass a law making it illegal to take upskirt photos.
I don't think they would either.
That's what they said on Anthony Bourdain but it was an old episode, but Hokkaido and Okinawa are supposed to be more tollarant. It really is an interesting country though
@KostasKouvalis weird because in France Taiwan is considered as much stricter than Japan.
Everything can happen.
It's more than likely that they would have made a report on him or something because in Taiwan people are snitch.
It's not sun much hypocrisy but more racism, they dislike foreigner and use any reasons to mistreat them.
Is it pretty much illegal everywhere as taking people pictures in the street without consent is forbidden.
Okinawa used to be an American base (even still?) and a lot hate American same in some part of Korea American were so gross to them that if you're a foreigner they're ok but if you're American they would forbidden you from entering some restaurant / bar because of how much trouble American military men have brought them.
Really? Weird. It's the least strict in East Asia
Usually though you can't get in trouble for taking pictures of people at a public place event. Otherwise it would be impossible to take pictures of landmarks.
We still have a base there. They've been trying to get rid of us for years because our soldiers keep raping their women.
Neither of them, but if I had to choose, Japan no question.
