Captains discretion & divert to land. Charge passenger full cost of it PLUS FAA fines!

Flight attendants attempt to taze / tranquilize passenger.

Flight attendants cuff & muzzle passenger.

Airlines reserve the right to charge credit card for X multiple if passenger flips out.

Allow captains to deputize other passengers so the fool "finds out"

"No fly" list for LIFE + fines + sued + divert costs (if applies)

Other methods so the shithead "finds out".

As someone who might wanna try a bit of mile high club or as a mother of kids it's hard for me to want to impose those harsh consequences for all bad behaviours lol.

Likewise I think any diversion or delay harms the other innocent passengers. So unless it's a safety issue where the person must be kicked off?

Therefore tranquiliser seems the most peaceful approach...

There is no one size fits all answer to this question because I'm certainly not going to taze misbehaving kids (and get fired via social media). You have to take each situation as it comes. If they are such a disruption, are being violent, or interfering with the plane in some way, you do need to stop the flight and kick them off. Mile high club, meh, I wouldn't care, just trying to get to my destination. I mean there are so many regulations related to each of these things and what you can and can't do, but for me, its just path of least resistance for the majority of passengers to make it to their destination on time. Violence/crime/illegal behaviors, that's a whole other level that needs immediate addressing by law enforcement.

You cannot account for shitty flyers. I've taken thousands of flights over the years. But only ever once came across a shitty flyer. Hence it's alien to me that people go off the rails about shitty flyers like it's an everyday occurrence.

As a pilot, anything or anyone who disrupts the safety of flight will be kicked off An airplane isn’t your soccer moms van or the back seat of your dads Buick. If someone’s being unruly, combative or interfering with passengers or crew in a way that affects the flight, and my crew is unable to resolve the matter, I reserve the right to divert the aircraft. Many may not know, in the court of law, as FAA FARs dictate, the pilot has sole responsibility of the aircraft and flight. The passengers and law wouldn’t be upset at me for that choice, so let that pressure remind us why we each have a civic duty to be good to our fellow passengers. Or hell, while we’re at it…to all humankind.
