You primary bottlenecks are power generation and heat management for the 30 days claimed and the 30 days for the return mission, and whatever wait time there is for visitation and to receive a new open window for return. You can't just plug it into an Earth electric grid in space. It's why the technology has had minor roles in small satellites. If you try to run human manned missions with provisions and other colonial supplies you're playing an entirely different game. Thus why the tech for the 1960s hasn't been leveraged to do anything earth shattering...

Am I a Scientist? Yes. Do I specifically work on rockets? No. Have I made chemical rockets and launched them on a small scale? Yes. Have I studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics enough to understand how plasma engines work? Yes. Have I been exposed to the space program/NASA through my life? Yes, my uncle worked most of his life as an electrical engineer for defense contractors at Cape Canaveral working directly on various NASA space projects and I have discussed a lot of that with him. I also have an IQ of 158, but it doesn't take a genius to under how plasma engines work.
