Define camping. I've backpacked since about age 15. 1-2 weeks at a time in wilderness areas. Alone or with 1-2 other people. Climbing mountains. Crossing streams and rivers. Sleeping on the ground in a tent or under the stars. But I'm not really a campground person.

Well I have skills and a higher tolerance for risk than most people (ex Army Ranger) and I've been doing this for 4 decades. And I literally have no one to go with most of the time. So I can sit on the couch in fear like you or, I can get off my ass, face the risks, experience life, and challenge myself. But you do you... slow death on a couch doesn't seem like much of a life though.

I went with some friends and parents of friends when I was in high school. It was just a two day event and we got a hotel on the second day. I had to leave early cause my dad had things to take care of but my friends stayed in that area an extra day so they were there around 3 days while I was there 2 days.
