No. They have virtually zero Muslims and their version of Maltese Arabic developed independently a thousand years ago. Spanish people and architecture on the Canary islands looks comparable as it's another hot country with many sun-hours per day.

Malta isn't part of the Canary Islands. Also, you don't have to be Muslim to be an Arab

I know where Malta is and where the Canary islands are, I have been to both, I can compare both, as they have north-African climates, sun-hours and similar looking population. And while technically you don't have to be Muslim to be Arab, 95% of them are. But the Maltese people are neither, they are their own phenotype.

Their language is English. So they are English. Architecture was due to occupation by arabs.

Nope. Even Northern Africa being Arab is up for debate by North Africans themselves, so. From that picture, Maltese people don't look any different from other Southern Europeans. Plus they're Catholic.

I know there are Christian Arabs but in general, Islam does play a big part of Arab culture itself. So a Southern European country having the same people and religion as other Southern Europeans, I would say they're closer to Italians.
