Where are safe places to travel as a single woman?

I'm ready to go back to traveling next year - what are safe places

I don't know but I feel safest when I go somewhere I have been before and know what to expect. It kind of ruins the adventure sometimes. But there are certain places that I never stop finding new things to do.

I think safe is a state of mind and those places that feel familiar aren't really safe either. I feel safest around people I love and trust. No matter the place. Thats where I come back to my first thought we find safety in being able to predict the future correctly. The best way to feel safe all the time is be able to trust the people around you instead of the things. Things will change people will to. But you can, Trust people to have your back even when things change.

Why not just stay home if you want safe places?

Not saying you get your ass into Ukraine or Israel. But half the fun of travel is the danger and uncertainty..

But Cyprus, Turkey, Spain and UAE are always good places to travel as they are a good mix of old and new.

Well I have to say that personally I would not travel anywhere totally alone, like I won’t drive more than 30 minutes alone certainly not fly anywhere, I would want to go w at least another girl and that would be to a v. safe place, if I was going to a less safe place I’d want to be in a group or at least with a guy. But that is just me and everybody has different opinions so I will just say where I think is safe, which is, Japan, Canada, a lot of Europe, there are prob other places but those are the ones that come to mind right away. JMO!

Iceland is frequently ranked as the safest country in the world for solo female travelers. Violent cr! me is extremely rare and many women travelers say they feel safe walking alone, day or night.

Unfortunately, there’s danger everywhere in the world. You just have to be smart and become familiar with your surroundings. If you ended up choosing to go to a non English speaking country, learn the language enough to know what’s going on.

There are some places that are unsafe for anybody to travel to. Either men or women.

In some places, a single woman dressing in a highly revealing way is an affront to local morals. Especially Muslim countries so as a single woman you should be sensitive to the culture.

Where I am living now is the only place where I have felt truly safe. Growing up in the USA was the worst; the country is full of nutjobs. The UK wasn't great either. Canada wasn't too bad.

China is one, while domestic violence is a huge problem there chinese people don't attack women on the streets, muggings in China are basically a contradiction in terms. Australia is pretty safe, crime is rare there too and unlike some European countries catcalling isn't too common from what I hear.

I went alone to Italy, france and or stayed in Germany and explored here a little.
A friend of mine was this year alone in Portugal, spain, UK and Ukraine.
We both say for women it's safe to go to something in Europe but not Middle east

I surely would've thought before the last decade or so "women's bathrooms are for women only and always a safe place for women only to travel to" but nowadays anyone is allowed to be gender fluid supposedly - personally I use the men's bathroom, I don't use the lady's

But seriously, back to the question, probably first world democratic safe countries with low crime rates

I went to Phuket by myself beginning of the year and I found it extremely safe. I might go to Zanzibar next year. Most places in asia are very safe for women.

If you are a solo traveller advise is to go through a proper channel avoid risky places plan your visits before itself.
