If i paid for the seat then no i will not switch as that is a big cash grab on planes now.


However if i am travelling alone i wouldn't care about my seat and if someone asked me to switch because of family/small kids then i dont see the harm

If I was for some reason flying alone, sure. It makes no difference where I sit then really. But I dated a girl once who was very scared of flying and I wouldn't have separated from her or she'd have been freaking out the whole time.

If you want specific seat you can take it in advance when you book the ticket by pay for extra. Or you can do check-ins online, check-ins online mostly open 12-24h before your flight.

Maybe. For a like seat or better. I had a lady ask me to switch with her husband. I had an aisle seat and he had a middle seat. I said no. She said “What?” I said no.
