Should I travel with him to Korea if we’ve haven’t met in person yet?

I’ve been talking to this guy online since 2023. He was in the same country when we met online on whisper app then a storm came. We still kept in contact and he wanted to meet up for dinner but back then I wasn’t able to. Which was unfortunate since that was his last day in my hometown before he had to leave for his work. Then in 2024, we reconnected on snap app. We’ve talked on the phone and video chat before so neither of us are being cat fished. He currently lives in Japan. I believe he said Okinawa. I’ve told him how I want to travel to Japan or Korea someday.

He encourages me to save to try to go Japan or Korea. He mainly offered his place in Japan to stay. I told him I was thinking about Korea for my spring break. He said he wants to join me whether it’s in Japan or Korea. He tells me if I want then he can ask his friend for cheap airline tickets but otherwise tells me to check out which is the cheapest tickets for me.

I’m in my 30s studying in college still while he’s in his 40s working there. We’re not exactly together. Though we’re single. I did ask him why would he want to travel with me if we haven’t met yet. He told me “I like to travel. You seem fun and it’s nice to have a reason to travel there.” I enjoy talking to him too and he makes me laugh but I’m also trying to be realistic here that we still don’t really know each other that well since we haven’t met in person yet. Am I being too naive here? He also mentions fun things we can do in Korea together since he’s been there before too. What should I do?
