List #1 is the most spoken languages on earth, ordered by the number of people who speak each language.

List #2 is a similar list, but only considers native language speakers.

The list shows that Mandarin is the most common native language in the world, but English is the most common spoken language. The lists basically show that many people are multi-lingual.

List 1 is a bit more challenging though. English is spoken in the most countries, but Mandarin and Hindi AREN'T. Most speakers outside its home country is practically the same thing. It's not 2nd language either, 'cuz most Chineses it turns out don't speak English. It's not UK either, 'cuz they don't have that many Spanish speakers. So I have no clue what list number 1 could be

Are you sure you didn't mix that up? Because I'm fairly certain in terms of number of speakers, there's a lot more people who speak Mandarin, then speak English, but English has the most countries that speak it
