Basically they're gonna put more points on your license. They swear it's for the worst offenders but then drop this line:

“If you're charged with speeding, going 10 miles an hour over the limit, it's not so easy anymore. Just to reduce that to something smaller that carries zero points—most things now carry a few points, and many things now carry significant points,” Pam said

Now in the city, I'm sure enforcement will be mostly fair. I'm worried about NY State because those troopers are fucking crazy 😂

Personally, I think this is going to lead to a noticable increase in plateless or fake plate cars. It's practically a requirement there atp

Like everything laws aren't any good unless they are enforced and there are consequences.

The important thing to remember about speed limits, signage, traffic, road lines etc is that they are there for a reason, someone has worked out where they all should be taking various things into consideration and weighing risks.

There's already speedbumps, potholes, cameras, uneven terrain everywhere. That's the real problem. Not me going 36 in a school zone when it's not school hours
