What is it really like living full-time in RV parks?

Even though we camp a lot and park in RV resorts, I still can't really say what it's like when RVers stay there for very long periods.

I've been told by long-staying RVers that I met that there is a maximum period they can stay in which they had to depart and immediately return which seems like a hassle to me.

A lot of RV parks in cities look like parking lots with tight spots which really appears unappealing and make me question why would I camp in the city.

We usually search for availability in Kampgrounds Of America (KOA) and/or Thousand Trails for accommodations up in the wilderness where it looks and feels like we're boondocking with nature.

Additionally, some RV campgrounds are attached to trailer home parks which, oftentimes, look ghetto or trashy.

It's better then an apartment since your not living on top or under other people but it's not the same as living in a house. My dad lives in one and even those he pay off on the home he's still paying almost 1000 a month just for the land his home sit on.

I was helping my boss build his house and people were going up there at night and taking things and I have a motorhome so I went up there and parked it where I can see everything and I lived up there for like 3 months it wasn't bad it wasn't good but I mean it's not bad you can have it handle it you got to shower you got bathrooms you got everything that you need it's just kind of small but there's nothing wrong with it

If I had to do it again I would hope The house we are building was on a lake or something Are up in the mountains With a stream

Like living in a Caravan , non permanent would be okey travel around on holiday would be okey , as a holiday home ( fixed site ) ..
Permanently , it would be utter fooked , stir crazy , and site dependent..

I've a friend in US would had to sell up and do this permanently , appreciating asset to depreciating asset , not good.

My former in-laws lived in their motorhome in an RV park every summer. It's like living in a quiet neighborhood where you get to know your neighbors. The park had a general store for necessities, and movies, music and dancing for entertainment. Occasionally, they would drive into the nearby town for more significant things.

like the people there and management matter. also its noisy so you hear everything and esp kids. privacy was okay. oh yeah, you'll wanna pay attention to the weather (like tornadoes lol)

That’s a hard life living in a van or a camper it’s not like a campground that’s full-time and your neighbors are probably gonna be really trouble. Low quality people.

Don’t do it unless you have no choice it’s better than sleeping on the streets. I have never experienced it before, but I’ve seen a lot of movies and I’ve seen biographies.. but when I was 18, I stayed in a little trailer for three months at my family campground because we didn’t have houses, but I’ve always lived in Miami in a huge mansion
