Another 'The Voice' Singer Has Been Shot Dead, Just Days After Christina Grimmie's Murder

The 45 year old US singer, Alejandro Fuentes was shot three times on a night out with friends, who were celebrating his birthday.

Alejandro appeared on the Mexican version of popular show, 'The Voice'. His death occurred a day after Christina's funeral, another singer who was discovered on the same show, but received the same fate.

Fuentes was getting into a car with his friends before the gunman confronted him and shot him three times in the head. Police are yet to find a suspect for the murder, but are investigating whether it was a carjacking or robbery. However, it appears none of his friends were injured in the attack.

The shooting took place on the 16th June but he later died of his injuries on the 18th June, last Saturday. A memorial took place at his studio in Chicago on the Saturday evening.

A nobody went on a show. He got fame for being on. By your comment his fame is either intact after 5 years (in which case your comment is somewhat pointless) or his fame is invalid (which I believe you implied) therefore, if he fame is no longer relevant there is no difference between him and your father, who as said before, I'm guessing is not famous. Their status in the public eye is equal.

Putting aside your personal feelings for your father, why is it okay your 5 year voice singer is eligible for death but your father is not, considering in the public eye they are equals?

That, I believe, is what the implication here is. Sure seems like a criminal conspiracy. However, Christina's killer has to somehow be linked to this new one to prove it. It's more likely that the presidents* in both the US and Mexico have now cultivated so much hate for decent human beings in the general culture climate, that upstanding figures who appear on The Voice and are quite a few cuts above the rest of us now have targets on their backs. The killers may not collaborate or even know each other; but they all have the same toxic worldview filling in the blanks for them. And that means performers on The Voice who aren't shady in some way, are now obligated to live in fear.

All I can do is hope that people aren't trying to target others now in some twisted attempt to gain fame. Damn, I feel bad for the friends too who had to witness their friend being shot and killed right in front of them. Must be also hard dealing with that.

Some people are just straight up screwed up. I don't know but it seems there has been a lot of tragedies lately, both on a more local/personal level and on a national/international level.

if i wanted to get a gun illegally to kill someone in Canada, i wouldn't even know where to look, because we have tight gun control which does a fairly good job at preventing shootings like this from occurring at the rate it does in the USA

But I find it difficult to consider that somebody read about the first murder, then found out where Alejandro was and separately decided to kill him.

+/- true, but not really. Do you watch youtube? I assume you do. I do. There are a few people there that make me laugh every day, or that teach me new stuff, or people that I love following and hearing too just for the heck of it. So do thousands, and sometimes millions, of other people.

Now if one of those people dies, it's normal for the community to react. That's why people care. Because it hits close to home. It's someone who was there for you, that even though you never knew personally, had something to say of value, someone you loved listening to, someone that you thought added value to the world, and that now is lost.

The same thing happens if someone close to you dies. Your local community (friends, family, etc.) will react. Exactly the same thing. The only difference is that the community around youtubers and singers is much bigger.
