Now Columbus day is racist. people pick and choose what is and what isn't racist. Honestly liberals are the worst and biggest hypocrites. Somehow all the mean while Thanksgiving isn't racist but Columbus day is. They just pick and choose whatever fits their agenda and they make it so obvious too. And with Halloween wearing certain costumes is now racist especially if your white. It's not racist though if you wear a Native Indian costume.
maybe the people around you are killing the mood. hard to say. Halloween is nothing compared to when I was a kid, but it's because they do it different now. Less and less kids go trick-or-treating, unless you go to the big Trunk or Treat events, and EVERYTHING is about making money. This kills me at Christmas time. But I still try to focus on helping people and bringing joy to their lives, rather than all the cool stuff I could buy. :) You can get the feeling back. Don't give up. Keep searching for what makes the holidays feel special to you.

Simple neither of the given answers. The current society and humanity is so busy with work and lost track of whats realky important in life. Were almost nothing more than a number irrelevant replaceable. Thats why if we dont do our stuff right another number will replace us. I volly with the police dept. I work crazy hours during the holidays. The people I work with make me hate the holidays since they constantly give me grief. And worse, my birthday is a 2 weeks before Christmas. My ex fiancee hurt me so bad I hate my own birthday as well (since she and I had the same bd)
That's what happens as you grow up unfortunately... Your brain gets accustomed to the stimuli which makes it lose its magic.
