Because super pussy PC liberals ruined all holidays. people can't celebrate anymore now these days without a group of people's feelings getting hurt. Now Columbus day is racist. people pick and choose what is and what isn't racist. Honestly liberals are the worst and biggest hypocrites. Somehow all the mean while Thanksgiving isn't racist but Columbus day is. They just pick and choose whatever fits their agenda and they make it so obvious too. And with Halloween wearing certain costumes is now racist especially if your white. It's not racist though if you wear a Native Indian costume.
maybe the people around you are killing the mood. hard to say. Halloween is nothing compared to when I was a kid, but it's because they do it different now. Less and less kids go trick-or-treating, unless you go to the big Trunk or Treat events, and EVERYTHING is about making money. This kills me at Christmas time. But I still try to focus on helping people and bringing joy to their lives, rather than all the cool stuff I could buy. :) You can get the feeling back. Don't give up. Keep searching for what makes the holidays feel special to you.
Cause the store have shit out 2 months before Christmas. Buy this buy that Halloween cause there loser who do thing to kids put razor blade in apples put something in the candy.

I'm guessing how cause more things have shifted over to the digital format there is just less and less of the real stuff out there --> plus back then it was less profit based and more just for fun
I used to remember loads and loads of kids trick or treating - going to rich fancy houses and getting bags full of candy

You've grown up I guess and everything is commercialised so Easter, Halloween and Christmas are cheapened and no longer have any meaning. I suggest you try to have more traditional Christmas, Easter and Halloween. Ps St Patrick's day is not about getting drunk.
Simple neither of the given answers. The current society and humanity is so busy with work and lost track of whats realky important in life. Were almost nothing more than a number irrelevant replaceable. Thats why if we dont do our stuff right another number will replace us. I know its sucks to hear but you can't deny it its the truth wether you like it or not. Sorry.

In the Middle Ages those many holidays replaced our vacations. And the presents weren't bought in shops: everyone brought something from his own craft.
Never did never will. Don't even celebrate bdays. Just some unnecessary bs to kill time and I don't have any to spare.
Because it really doesn't mean much anymore. As a kid I was always crazy about these holiday events. As a kid I was so lively and carefree. Time changed so fast.

I volly with the police dept. I work crazy hours during the holidays. The people I work with make me hate the holidays since they constantly give me grief. And worse, my birthday is a 2 weeks before Christmas. My ex fiancee hurt me so bad I hate my own birthday as well (since she and I had the same bd)
That's what happens as you grow up unfortunately... Your brain gets accustomed to the stimuli which makes it lose its magic.
I think it's because you're just getting older, dear, so holidays don't mean as much to you anymore.
