I am going to guess, the media being the media regardless of which country it is in, reports what they want you to hear. In places like China, N Korea, Iran, Palestine etc it's controlled by the government. In other places like USA, UK, etc it's controlled by elitists that tell you what they want you to know.

In the US, the media tells us what THEY want us to know based on their political leanings. They used to be neutral and simply report the news. However, over the past 25+ years, the vast majority of the media has gone to the uber liberal side, so they report ONLY stuff that supports their point of view and either ignore, lie about, or opinionate on what they want you to know. In other words - propagandize the information you get.

There are very few sources that actually just report what's going on, good or bad, for any political side.

I think in Finland we have one of the least corrupt medias in the world and it does a fairly decent job I think. There's always some bias though and one should never read any media without skepticism.

But there are enough lefty and centrist newspapers to choose from as well, they’re just not as widespread than the ones that sell the views of rightwings.

They tell the narrative to suit their truth. They'll blast a story to say they got it first, then retract it once.
