No because i expect some agenda! so i noticed the emotional trigger words. I isolate the story. And ask: what would they hide for their agendas! +I. E. When people accused Israel do those steps. ... They never accused Israel for minor flaws, because they are minor, so they use major words like illegal genocide! Isolate those agenda words out.
ask what they hid or left out for causing hate: and boom you find out "the school was a military target' the action was done with intention to bomb a military building that was part of the active base.
The news company didn't hide but accusers hide:

Practice on these 2 that i reported and hopefully were censored.

Mass media news is dead. X is a good place for news but you have to sort through the lies there. The good news is that the truth is buried there, you just have to dig a bit deeper
From a recent survey:
The most recent widely cited U. S. poll on trust in the media comes from Gallup (conducted September 2-16, 2025, and released October 2025). It found that only 28% of Americans express a "great deal" or "fair amount" of trust in mass media (newspapers, television, and radio) to report the news "fully, accurately, and fairly."
This marks a new historic low for Gallup's long-running measure:
- Down from 31% in 2024.
- Down from 40% five years earlier.
- Far below peaks like 68-72% in the early 1970s.
About 70% of Americans now report low or no trust (36% "not very much" + 34% "none at all"). The drop is especially sharp among Republicans (down to 8%), while Democrats stand at 51% and independents at 27%. Younger adults (18-29) show lower trust (around 23% in recent three-year averages) compared to those 65+ (43%).
I stopped watching the news altogether. Exactly for the reason that you pointed out. I don't know what or who to believe so I gave up on watching it.

This is why you should not rely on a few news sources that are all basically an echo chamber for a single dogma. It's good to look at how other countries view you as well. For instance the BBC or Al Jazeera are credible news sources with a different perspective for people in the USA.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. It shows a good ability to think critically, to be objective, to consider other interpretations and viewpoints, being well-rounded, and it provides credibility.
High school teachers, specifically History as well as Economics ones, taught us back then that no news sources can achieve objectivity. Because any source follows their editorial policy, for commercial reasons, to respond to an audience and their characteristics.
It did disappoint me back then, because I wanted to believe in truth. Not just perspectives.
Years ago I used to watch many different news sources. I would do research and verify the things they reported. I learned which ones are trustworthy and which ones exaggerate or outright lie and that helped me decide what to watch and what to ignore. There are 7 or 8 sources that I rely on now.
There are still services that employ actual journalists that report actual facts. NYT, BBCNews, FT spring to mind. I just ignore the interpretation/slant/spin. If I want interpretation, I read the opinion columns or blogs.
no... because I don't have a one "source for news"
for example... there's this one site called "GroundNews"
and the thing they do is to show ALL of the sources, and they are categorized by "left leaning" "right leaning"
"left biased, right biased" and so on...
I of course, could just focus on the ones that are "flagged in white" because that means, no bias... or center "just report news as they are, with no opinion embedded"
but ideally... one should read all three approaches, and then make an idea of your own, by yourself...
after all... news are just perspectives, and the more rounded one, the better
Of course; that's why I avoid liberal news outlets. While right leaning sources aren't infallible, either, they also tend to lie a lot less.
LOL, news by its very nature cannot be objective. They have bills to pay like every other business.
First thing I do is to assess that. Once I've decided to put time into a source I continue to assess till I feel trust.
Or you can watch CNN rating plummet "8% decrease from the previous week' in the most recent available comparisons. +Or MSNOW "5% decrease in total viewers" while fox (who family guy bothered to attack) has DOUBLE the viewers of msnow. That is 3 times more than CNN viewers! Fox is most trusted.
@strateguy632 I mostly watch specialist youtubes for analysis. I will watch clearly biased channels for fun and titillation of my biases but I know it is not reliable don't form views from them..
I must say I enjoy seeing CNN and MSNOW reached new lows and thanks for that update on ratings.
Nope. I know humans and I know humans are liars and are inherently bias so I don't trust ish they say unless its crime related type stuff or local news.
Anything political or war related I don't believe.
No, because in Germany we have public TV with real news programs, not "shows".
Ever since Obama made it legal for news outlets to push propaganda, none of them have been entirely trust worthy.
Yes, considering I live in a very corrupted country, I don't believe most of their news.
I know they are biased but they tell the truth.
They all lie.
