There is more than one issue going on, one of the issues is the real or perceived difference in treatment of people by race in the system. I think that's what they are protesting... whether it is true or not, I'll leave to others to decide. It's amazing how biased people are when they don't think they are biased...

I'll say this as I say to everyone, stay away from police unless you need them. If you do, be damn careful around them. We all make assumptions and those assumptions may be false. The problems aren't even close to being resolved, and may never be.
