No. She's under a conservatorship - essentially her conservator - her abusive father - has complete control of her life and her money. He literally signed her up for a 5 year Vegas residency, then a 2-year tour immediately afterwards, and then wanted her to immediately go back to Vegas for another show. She's earning millions, but can't go to the store by herself or decide what dance moves to do.
She had a nervous breakdown 15 years ago, and, yeah, she needed some help, but her dad lied and got indefinite conservatorship over her, and has been treating her like a slave since.
Wow wtf? That sounds illegal.
It's legal, but it's normally done for people who can't take care of themselves. That was probably true of Britney for some period after her breakdown - maybe half a year - but he fought to make it indefinite, and used her money to hire lawyers to ensure that it happened. Note that she had no access to her money - or even to leave the house or use the phone - so she had no way of getting her own representation. Her dad "bought" doctors who signed of on it, and that was all it took.
