People are going to blame guns
There are millions of us that have guns and we don't go out and do that it is a mental health problem it starts at the home with the family if you are a parent and if you cannot take the time to quit making life about you and make it about your kids and teach them who to be in this world instead of antagonizing them instead of yelling screaming
Parents need to take an inventory of themselves if you're making it all about yourself all the fucking time do this one take it inventory of Who You Are and be 100% honest I mean really truthfully honest are you mentally physically fucking up your kids are you an asshole do you make life all about yourself because if you are any of the above you need to get your kids help right fucking now there's no reason for kids to go out and do this shit get them off the video games of killing each other start loving your children instead of fucking hating on them and yelling and screaming because they're interfering in your life fuck you if your kids do something like this you need to go to prison abusing your children for not teaching them how to be better than you look how many lives have been taken from them just because parents do not have enough common sense to make their children feel like they're wanted that they are loved parents need to start paying the price if your kid does something like this00 Reply

Because it’s so mentally healthy to be in an overcrowded, diverse, multicultural cesspool that stands for nothing. And calling these things out will get you cancelled.
People always look at the what instead of the whi. Who is doing this? Who planted communism feminism, racism, and every other isn’t as a means to destroy? Who tells us diversity is a strength and that white privilege explains why the Europeans that founded the US are more prosperous than most groups? Who tells us that abortion is OK and that dads are optional? Who tells us that drugs and violence are terrible as they benefit from their import and use?
Who tells us that whites are racist even though 40% voted for Obama but blacks are not racist when they voted 96% for Obama? Who tells us that transsexuality is normal but heterosexual nuclear families are outdated?
These same people love America 2022 and hate America 1950. But to be completely honest, who is their right mind would choose the former over the latter? In which America were people happier with lower crime and virtually no mass shootings? Yes, certain groups were prevented from hurting themselves so they were restricted in what they could do — and yet our great American cities were not the ghettos that they are today. Ever wonder why European cities have a fraction of the crime of American cities?
These questions and more are why we won’t serious put a dent in the school shootings. No one is really serious about it.02 Reply- +1 y

Woah, you are starting to sound very pro-Jim Crow in this part of the comment. As if peaceful African cities don't exist. - +1 y
America had far more restrictions in 1950 than 2022 especially for ethnic groups
+1 yThe USA is designed more for reactionary than prevention when it comes to crime. The SCOTUS has even ruled, police have no legal obligation to protect anyone. That is our own jobs, the police's job is to investigate after and bring the criminal to justice.
You can't stop crime, you can only punish it.
Even if guns are outlawed, criminals can make their own, I'd imagine by now someone could even 3d print one. Then at that point only a criminal would have a gun.
If someone is determined to kill, they'll use whatever tools they have.
Need to stop focusing on the tool and focus on the cause.72 Reply- +1 y
If that's the case and guns are super accessible like you say and can be made, where are all the mass shootings in the UK?
+1 yThat's dangerous. Over here if the teacher gets one complain of a student hitting other student then they are doomed. Sometimes I feel lucky to study in a secure place (compared to situations like this).

What Girls & Guys Said

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThere is an enormous crisis of miss-education and neglect of boys in this country going on since the 90's. Frankly it has a lot to do with the change in education practices and cultural rules since that time which have causes boy's to subsequently drop out of the market of life and fall far behind girls.
This leads to a large number of isolated and disaffected men a few of which become nutcases and do terrible things. This is not a recipe for peace and tranquility in any country or time in history.
Biology makes men naturally aggressive and dangerous, neglecting them with opportunities and pre-occupation just means a lot of them are going to get into very dangerous areas.
Given theses changes were done originally to "Close the gender gap" with girls, the most logical thing to do is separate schools for boys and girls. So that boy schools can go back to the old way of competitive based learning that works best for the biology of men, while girls can continue down the current path.00 ReplyWhat do you want? Schools are already a "gun free zone", weird how that little sign on the wall stops good guys but not bad.
How often this happens they should do something, so. e schools have metal detectors, why not all? Seems the school put to much fate on that little sign.
I don't know anything about this kids apperently bad life or how he got the gun, but I'd geuss from a garden who wasn't keeping an eye on the kid or their own guns.
I kind of blame the kid too, I grew up around guns, I never thought about stealing a gun and trying to take it to school, maybe kids were eager to him than me but they weren't exactly nice to me, I got bullied and called fat, even had racist shit yelled at me on the bus in highschool, but instead of shot the kids I just decided to never get on the school bus again.
But I geuss you could argue his decision was also a result of bad parenting.03 Reply- +1 y
Yep and the Teachers Tell the kids To hide and wait for the bad guy to leave and hope he doesn’t Come inside the classroom and if he does throw stuff at him because throwing stuff at a Gunman is going make him Leave.
I myself never Listened to that nonsense If there was ever a gunman going be in school I would leave school and walk back Home 🏠 I Never cared for Getting Write ups suspensions etc
I always Like suspensions my dad always told me It’s like a vacation the school gives you.

You don’t know anything about schools. It’s not just some sign 🪧 they have police 👮♂️ officer patrolling the schools at all times.
Unless you live in a democrat school you will have police officer that hangs out at the school.

+1 yThe US has 200+ years of gun ownership, which means there are thousands (millions?) of guns out there, so nothing can be done to eliminate guns. The ultimate solution is improved security. There is improved security at concerts and sporting events. Let's improve security at schools. Do these things at least:
1. Have only one (1) entrance to the school that's open (via electronic lock controlled from a desk inside the building), typically the main entrance. All other entrances should be locked from the outside, and can be opened from the inside (in case of emergency exit, like a fire)
2. Have someone monitor the main entrance after students enter the building, and require any others to identify themselves and why they require entrance. That person is the only person who can open the electronic lock on the door.
3. Have an armed guard at the main entrance, properly trained to deal with any incidents.00 Reply
+1 yWe have to properly screen individuals for guns and body armor but also we have to make sure that as parents that none of this stuff is accessible but also you have to pay attention to your kids because it's always the same Mo somebody is bullying someone is picking someone is making someone feel less than and people don't have the mental capacity or the mental health to deal with it properly therefore they go berserk and then we all are left and tragedy in all and scared that's something we may or may not have prevented even with the slightest bit more effort

+1 yYou can't stop it. There are more guns than people here, and that's never gonna change. Maybe if we used the military we could defend schools and places of worship, but our own stupid laws prevent solutions like this.
In the long term, the American Empire simply needs to be broken up. We can't properly police or govern all 350 million of us with one government.
We also need to start throwing people back into asylums and sterilizing mentally defective people.
Our 1st world ideologies are preventing us from properly governing this 3rd world country. 00 Reply

There are many ways to get multiple people in a relatively short period of time.60 ReplyIt's too easy to say gun control, although there's plenty of evidence to support the fact that it works. Take the UK and Australia as examples.
Instead I think it would be more beneficial for the US to provide state healthcare like the UK or Canada does, that way people with mental health problems might get the treatment they need. That would go a long way to preventing these situations I think.21 Reply- +1 y
It's a broader social issue too. This kind of rampage is not done by someone who believes they could have a good future. It's the last act of a mind full of rage and hopelessness.
It might be beneficial in mitigating future cases to figure out what was going on in the shooters mind.
Most similarly hopeless people just have the decency to harm only themselves, but this kind of deep despair is on the rise.
+1 yAt times like this the worst I feel we can do is discuss the fool. They do not deserve the attention.
Right now our focus should be on remembering the many innocent victims and their families.
They need support and prayers
10 ReplyWe have mentally ill people that are not being properly identified. That's the issue no one wants to correct. It's easier to blame the gun.
The other issue is these mentally ill people refuse to recognize that schools are gun free zones. Or maybe they do know that and have no fear of being stopped by armed guards and others.10 Reply21

+1 yPeople are getting shot up because the United States has serious mental health problems. Young people are going through all if this virtual, digital, bullshit and aren't making real friends or connections anymore. Without social and emotional intelligence people lose empathy and go on mass murders.
Not to mention young people joining the workforce now are going through a record period of inflation and minimum wage isn't even anywhere near livable. I'm in Florida, working two jobs, 40+ hours week and I barely manage 2K/month. People are upset and the media doesn't care, the government doesn't care. People are lonely and need real physical connections. Unfortunately the only thing that matters in America is the bottom line, your net worth.00 Reply
+1 yThis is very complex and I am sick of people jumping to quick conclusions about just “banning guns” vs “mental health” vs “violent video games” etc. It’s never that simple.
Honestly this is something the right and left need to seriously come to the center on. Instead they have drifting further apart and getting more incalcitrant on their views.22 Reply- +1 y

Why should I care about children who grow up to be terrorists?
Well the media could stop glorifying and politicizing it. That would stop copycats. They could also stop giving out the killers name and putting their pictures. Maybe there should be security with weapons? FBI could do a better job finding killers earlier. Parents and other adults should notice signs of mental illness or harmful intent earlier and report it.

New Zealand, Canada Australia, Switzerland and many other countries immediately implemented gun laws after their shootings and guess what? They hardly have any shootings anymore

u +1 yThere should be zero tolerance of bullying at schools, teachers should be encouraged to report misfit kids for abberant behavior, and innocent kid should be protected. Teachers should be allowed to carry firearms if they choose to do so, and each school should have armed resource officers. School shooters should not be given attention by the media and those that survive the carnage should be subjected to public ridicule.

I don’t even think we should be publishing the names or pictures of the shooter. The focus should be entirely on the victims
+1 yI can’t believe there are still people who think the easy access to guns in this country has nothing to do with the shootings…
This is the only country where we have more guns than people. The country with the second highest amount of guns still only has half what we have.
We also have more shootings in one year than every other country combined…y’all don’t think there’s a connection between that? You don’t see the math mathing there? How dense can y’all be01 Reply- +1 y
You guys don’t want to listen to the fact that gun control actually works and other countries have implemented more laws after shootings that prevented this shit from happening. Y’all care more about your freedom and bearing arms than you care about literal children dying
Unless and until we vote out those who would protect the gun manufacturers this will continue. Murder and mayhem don't seem to offset the money the NRA and the gun manufacturers keep pouring into the legislators and senators who make the decision whether to actually do something about this horrible pandemic. We cry about those that died because of Covid, but we wring our hands at yet another mass murder, particularly now with more children.

Exactly. We need to take the stigma / negativity in regards to mental health issues so people feel comfortable searching out / getting help. Sometimes drugs do help. I have direct experience with an individual with bipolar disorder….. it’s taken 50+ years…and they are finally in a good place. 💖
You can't stop crazy people he acted like a lot of teenagers with being a loner we need to stop putting blame on everyone and everything for a person being a bad person it's all on them if he was going out to kill kids he could have just as well ran then over with a car at a bus stop until we have machines that can tell ahead of time what we are going to do then there is no stopping a single person that shows no signs of dangerous acts

It's illegal to carry a gun in Sweden, if it so be TRANSPORTED in public in anyway it HAS to be unloaded, an if possible unassembled and packaged. You are not allowed to be armed in public.
I know we have lots of guns here. Lots of people hunt, and thats about the only you reason you can get a gun license to begin with here but you can't carry that weapon openly. You'd be arrested pretty quickly
