What is an intelligent person to you?

I ask as many people evaluate intelligence by education - and by association high paying jobs - whereas education is merely one’s ability to memorize repeated lessons/information.

Sort of like a dog taught a trick.
Ironically people call what are intelligent breeds, such as terriers, stupid because the terrier will be "stubborn" & try to reason why it's doing a trick... a "smart" Border Collie just does it.
.

I ask as many “highly intelligent” people are terrible at spatial reasoning - considered by scientists to be a true evaluation of intelligence.
.
And why I’ve met “garage mechanics” who dropped out of high school but through self-taught lessons possess an understanding of engineering - and ability to design machines - that puts engineering graduates to shame.

I graduated university at 17 with one degree. I had my 2nd bachelors a little more than a year later. I have three diplomas in entirely separate fields. I have incredible book intelligence but then I also have a near photographic memory. I can remember spaces, names and faces twenty years later & we met once.

I also have an evaluated IQ of 172 which is considered exceptionally gifted. I learn new things at an incredibly fast rate and have taught myself many things - such as 3D graphics & animation - without any formal training. That means I am also naturally intelligent.

Most of my friends are “dumb” people. I say dumb because they may not have any formal education per se or $100,000+ careers. But they’re far more intelligent than a doctor or lawyer who tailgates their way to work because in X number of years that doctor or lawyer hasn't comprehended to set the alarm clock 30 minutes earlier so they don’t have to.
