I told you so. This will cause stations to run out and not offer it because they won;t get 1 cent a gallon sold. I lived through the 1970's. Saw it happen before. You can't interfere with supply and demand. That is why grocery stores are half empty now. Trust me , the only thing worse than $10 a gallon gas , is no gas at all!

I remember my father waiting in long lines to get gas. You could only get a few dollars worth too. People were hoarding gas in 5 gallon cans. One idiot had a plastic trash can full of gas in his apartment. The result was just what you would expect.

Let me explain supply and demand to your idiotic mind. You can't just say $3 a gallon. Costs and demand dictate what price is. When you set an artificial low price the oil companies costs will be more than the price at the pump. Unlike the Gov't that loses money on everything they do, Oil companies will cut production or freeze production because 0 revenue is better than taking losses. They will lay off tons of people too. Which means less tax revenues for the Gov't. Nixon tried it and set limits on how much gas you could buy and gas stations ran out of gas.
