What would you do immediately after winning the lottery?

The mega millions is up to $660 million. If you were to win, what would you do? First I’d sign the back of the ticket of course and then I wouldn’t tell a soul not even my family or my boyfriend. I’d go ahead and take the lump sum and start spending small so I wouldn’t draw a bunch of attention to myself.

I'd give my sister $50k to pay her back with interest on money she loaned me years ago. Hell, I might give her $100k.

I'd pay off my mortgage and car. I'd do a LOT of things to my house and property to protect against possible future energy, food and fuel shortages. There are so many things I would do here. A couple million $ would more than cover it. I LOVE my house and 30 rural acres.

I'd buy a variety of vehicles like a completely restored and upgraded 1960s (pre electronic ignition) luxury car and 1 ton 4WD pick up truck, a quad, a couple dirt bikes, a couple electric scooters, and a two seat paraplane.

I'd buy a bunch of gold and silver.

I'd put the rest in my IRA to use as needed.

I wouldn't do anything till the funds clear in my account.
Then I'd pay off my mortgage and any other debts. I'd offer to settle debts of siblings, buy my sister a modest house, invest in apartments for each of my nephews/neices.
Having discussed with my OH we'd either renovate our house (we only moved in 3 days ago), or buy something else. Either way I'd keep current house and renovate to a lesser standard

I would put some aside for myself and my family so I wouldn’t have to worry about money ever again. I would give my kids enough to make life easier, but not enough that they would never have to work again.
Then I would anonymously donate the rest all over the place. I would cut checks to local businesses I hear are struggling. Schools, animal shelters, food banks. I would makes sure they have enough funding to sustain themselves.
I would want the donations to be anonymous to try and prevent people asking for money, and also, I would hate the attention.

I’d definitely take the lump sum and wouldn't spend any of it until i had everything written out that i intended to do with it. I wouldn't even spend any of it until Christmas and i’d drop $5k in some ppls stockings. Depending how much I won. $600 lump sum? Well I'd take financial advice, probably invest most of it and live off the intrest it makes. Maybe keep about $10 million for buying a new house, a good car and to set my family up. The local St Vincent de Paul's were good to us growing up so I might donate to them and maybe the local community groups, though charities and community groups in my opinion are largely money rackets, witnessed that myself.

I'd probably move states and pretend like I didn't win big. If you've $600 million and people know it that's when the vultures start circling.

Id rather take a payment plan.

Include the lotto earnings in a trust fund.

Give my siblings and parents a little bit (1 million each). Id give my lover's family the same so they can shut up.

You do realize that that you can't collect you lotto winnings sort of anonymously right. The lottery commission stipulates that they are allowed to release your name as the winner (for transparency). So you ain't keeping nothing quiet lol. One winner already tried to sue the lottery commission to keep their name quiet. They lost of course.
