Maybe he never had it. What were they really looking for? Why don;t they specifically say what it was and have judge make him turn it over. Why no search of Trump Towers or New Jersey home?

They were using his having things requested by the National Archive as an excuse to look for anything that might support the theory that the guy who offered 20,000 National Guard and who said to "protest peacefully and patriotically" was trying to lead an insurrection to overthrow the government.

I am not a Trump fan, but he was POTUS when he took the documents and, as he had the plenary power to declassify anything by any method he chose, there does not seem to be any way to prove that he (or Obama, who also has things requested by the Archive more than six years after leaving office) did not do so. And the DOJ's entire argument is that he did not follow normal procedure? As POTUS he did not have to follow "normal procedure."

I did not vote for him either time (wrote in Austin Petersen in 2016 and voted for Jo Jorgensen in 2020) but I can understand why over half of the nation sees the FBI as a politically-motivated farce.
