NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump’s longtime ally Steve Bannon surrendered Thursday to face state money laundering and conspiracy charges in New York alleging he duped donors who gave money to build a wall on the U. S.-Mexico border. Bannon is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.

I love his long, flowing locks.

@AngryCarl Sadly, there's nothing to review and it can't be taken away without a Constitutional amendment. The President's ability to pardon is expressly stated in Article II:

Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:
The President... shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

The nice thing is the President has 0-as-in-Zero power to pardon offenses against a state.
Bannon is being hauled in by New York which is indicting him for fraud and money laundering.

What will be interesting is that Bannon's lawyers will likely challenge New York's abilities to try Bannon for these offenses since Trump pre-emptively pardoned Bannon, so, for New York to put Bannon on trial for these crimes is double jeopardy. New York might fight back and say the United States (that's the legal name for the Federal Government) never tried Bannon, so, unless there's a first trial, then Bannon can't be tried again for the same crimes. Furthermore, these crimes are crimes committed in New York (and elsewhere), so New York has a duty to protect its citizens and render justice. What the United States does is its business and New York has no stake in what the United States has or has not done and any Presidential pardons are irrelevant since they are only applicable to offenses against the United States.

Regarding bannon, I don't care so much but it be pretty easy to screw up something like that, there's two sides. Try starting a business or running a legitimate organization and lets see how you do. It's easy to sit back in a chair and complain, hard to make change. what organization/business would you start?
