Mathematically unlikely. Most voters don’t really know who they’re voting for. If you legally required all candidates to drop their party affiliations, voting turnout would likely drop to about one third of eligible voters, and only half of them could pass a 15 question quiz on the candidates. None would pass a 40 question test on the history of the country and how democracy actually works. No joke. Sad but true.
Now, “independent” tendency voters are already skeptical. Even if their front runner “endorses” a major party candidate, they’re either going to go another independent or abstain entirely. This is the scam being pushed by Gabbard and others right now. “Follow me to independent thought… oh, wait…. i can’t win. Vote for ‘X’ instead.”. And millions will fall for it because they’re too lazy and ignorant to CHECK THE FACTS. Ell oh ell!
