So I was wondering how others think about this. Print is going to die, because those that still read it, are nearly not enough to still support the print version. On the other hand, with a lot of free journalist writing on social media not that many actually pay for the e-paper version of newspapers. This of course is not the same for every newspaper, but a broad mass of them. Also a lot of subscription based e-paper newspapers have 'free-trials' where you can read a few articles for free and have to pay for the rest. Do you maybe read only the free articles? Is it different for you between local and national wide newspaper. Are you following any free social media newsreporter? Or are you getting your news in other media forms like radio or television exclusively?
I keep it simple here and talk about 'news' but I mean any form of publishings by newspaper, like columns for excample.
I would greatly appreciate any input, especially if you can tell me your reasoning behind your decision.
