This is clearly bullshit, we have had some increased gun voilence between criminals, but rape is just because we count each interaction, so if someone get caught with rape within a family structure that number can be two or even three digits while all other reports it as a single crime. That is why all rape statistics that compare Sweden get it so wrong. We have very little rapes and if you then research cultures who think they have right to women bodies you will find the highest sums of rape cases because the period they have been going on is usually years. You will find that both crimes are worse in the states and that other European cities exist that got it worse. Gun voilence is clearly highest in Ukraine right now.

If a guy has sex with his wife every day for two years, the wife later comes out an claims she didn't consent to having sex to her husband during that period. You got 730 rapes in one case. That is what makes the statistics incomparable. Especially with the new consent laws, if you don't have consent you rape the woman. No evidence is needed. It's just word against word.

Are you swedish like I am? I know about my countries laws and how they work and has lately changed. They new consent laws are a joke and impossible to enforce. The fact that everything count as rape now also screw the numbers. This will keep men away from relationship and sex. Because encounter the wrong woman and you are screwed for life.

If countries see rape differently the numbers won't match reality and can't be compared. You should also consider what you are dating into when dating across culture barriers.
