Some police encounters that go from "mild" to fatal. It occurred to me, I have not seen the game "Simon Says" played in school anymore. Maybe we need to bring that back and make it required for all citizens as part of a driving test... but it is lead by a cop. Instilling disciplines may reduce threats. Other countries do that their own way.

Last dude was mellow and ok, other than the weed issue. He then freaked out. People are going to freak out under stress, that's unnecessary. Quite a video to watch, awful to see... could be anyone having a bad day or on meds. Which leads to next idea...

* Another easy solution - Those difficult ones "arrested" is awarded a prize at a "society station"... but they have to go and claim it immediately. including a massage, therapy, relaxing conversation, nice beverage, ... in a beautiful setting as well! At the end, is a random prize drawing! That's better than trying to haul them in and all the risk. Much cheaper than endless lawsuits. Hows that for leftist thinking!!!

Cops I want to know if you support this! Funding it is no problem.

Bring back simon says now

Provide "nice arrests" where people, especially medicated/mentally off, get pampered

Just keep shooting people to pieces that don't or can't comply with an order

Oh man, how did I mis this idea...

In most of my encounters with cops, they were reasonable and polite. And I respond in kind. In fact, I'm always polite because it is counterproductive to piss off a person in power, whether they are a cop, a waitress, an overworked DMV employee, or customer service representative.

When I was a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser, I was the same way. If someone was nice and needed help, I would go out of my way to do them right. But it was a different story if they were a dick.

I've had people help me out if I was nice to them and expressed gratitude.

So it's stupid to be hostile to a cop. You get much better results when you are friendly and cooperative. By doing so, I've had cops cut me slack.

At the same time, when a cop puts on his authoritarian attitude and starts barking commands, I resent it and reflect his disrespectful attitude.

If he is professional and respectful, and especially if he is nice, I have nothing but respect. He earned it. But I HATE when some douche bag with a god complex shouts commands at me. I hope he gets hit by a car.

Equip police with the tools, mentally and technically to defuse situations and subdue people without shooting them: tasers, pepper spray, etc.

It seems we have some trigger happy cops.

Cops don't deserve obedience when they routinely do or allow to happen, gross violations of citizens rights and freedoms, and even enact violent crimes against citizens knowing they're hiiiiighly unlikely to ever get in trouble

It's a tough call though...
I could argue both sides of those videos.
Due to declining enrollment, some cities are lowering standards for new recruits as others retire early. It won't get better...

It was never Mayberry. Cops have largely always been like this. For decades. Only difference is, now now dumpster fire is big enough where civilians are noticing more and are starting to act against it.

For me, it best be a legit issue for them to try and detain me otherwise shit is going down, and I don't value life enough to care that I'll likely be murdered by the cop.

Also gotta think, cops have 0 obligation to help us, as stated by the Supreme Court. So they don't have to help us, but we have to obey them lest we get injured, raped, jailed or murdered.

I know, I'm hoping you never get pulled over. I frequently stop and inform drivers of their tail lights out and such, so they don't get pulled over. be stupid to die over a license plate light bulb.
I've never seen a bad scenario, but if I was in a bad mental state at the wrong time, it's a mess. Maybe we all need to go back to 1st grade and start over... somethin' got messed up after that.

I've been arrested quite a few times, only once was bullshit and made up. Only reason I didn't resist, is because he threw me face down to the ground and cuffed me.

A lot of people have no sense, but at the same time, cops need to learn they are very out numbered and outgunned. Don't fuck with the people lest they fight back.

Sorry to hear that. I've seen that in real life, they go off... and they don't go for the big threat, they control the one they see that is easier to control... if there is any conflict going on. It isn't about right and wrong... but "order", which is not fair nor right.
Thus I avoid them and I get to know my local cops personally, removes risk. A happy, well known, well fed with donuts and coffee cop is a better cop!

Exactly. They push on those they find weak. They're not on our side, and deserve no compliance to their bullying and criminality.

If their intent is to rape me, they're going to have to kill me first. If they want to charge me with shit I didn't do again, they're going to have to beat me until I'm out cold or kill me. Want my compliance? Have a valid reason. If I knock someone out,, go ahead and arrest me. Cool, I have accountability. But don't push on me.
