I just don’t see the point of it. what’s the point of looking at pictures or videos through a headset when you can just watch them on your phone or iPad and call it a day.

Watching movies with it would be cool but I bet it gives you a headache after a while like other VR headsets.

Honestly the whole device is something straight out of a Black Mirror episode. It’s exactly the same. And black mirror episodes never end well 😵‍💫

The next step is implementing the same technology into contacts or even a chip in your brain. It sounds insane but we’re really not far from it now.

I already have the worthless Microsoft Hololens. Only multimillion dollar corporations that can code useful software from scratch to suit their needs can benifit from that. For consumers, it has nothing, except few short games snd demos.

Its as stupid as selling a modern TV in the 1960s without it having any TV channels or affordable material to play in it except the inbuilt demos on loop.

So no. This could be just another developer edition where you have to get other companies to code you apps. That can costs even a million bucks to get anything useful out of it.

I do not own any Apple products and never will, for what they are they are incredibly over priced and how they are made sucks, the few times I've had to use one through work I've found them to be fragile, extremely susceptible to damage, I would not have any in the house even if they paid me.
