I was working for a large food distribution company. I just pulled in to a pizzeria to deliver their order. The manager asked me if I heard about the plane hitting one of the towers. He had the TV on in the restaurant. We stood there watching it as the second plane hit the second tower. He had family members working in the second tower.
The next day I was assigned to deliver prepared meals to ground zero, the medical examiners office and the Staten island landfill where all the debris was taken.

Sleeping. My ex came in to tell me "A plane just hit the World Trade Center". I said "bad accident" and went back to sleep. A bit later she came in and said "another plane just hit the other building" and I said "probably not an accident." That sure as hell woke me up the second time.

I was bedridden and watching TV. I couldn't believe my eyes. I caught the footage right from the start. I saw everything happen!!

The worst part they even showed the employees jumping from tall stories to their deaths. If you knew what clothes they were wearing, the families may have seen them on TV. It's still in my mind.

Putting in a 6-figure security system in a wealthy client's home. Actually his small plane hangar out back at the time. He came in and told us after the second plane that if we had loved ones in NY time to call them.
