This is called an integration clause. It means that each and every agreement between the parties is expressed in the writtten contract and any promises that are not included in the written contract are not enforceable, and failure to observe agreements not written in the contract does not constitute a breach of contract.

Basically it says both sides agree only to what is in the contract and anything not in it is not included. So if they've vervally offered you anything extra to sign it they are under no obligation to uphold that promise.

I'd be going over the whole contract to make sure that everything agreed is written down before signing

No attorney will want to answer that. Since it is standard contract language, I would see if yoiu can find a standard translation for it.
