Have you been on an Aircraft that had to make an emergency landing or similar.

no, the closest I have come was when it was stormy out, planes were late, we finally were on the taxi way and then the pilot announced that he had good news and bad news.
The bad news was that the right-side hydraulic system just failed, the good news was that we were on the ground when it happened.
Then it was hours of listening to the it will be 20 minutes before the mechanic gets here, 20 minutes before... and that went on for at least 90 minutes or so.
FYI the whole 20 minute thing is just a lie, they use that number because they have found that most people will accept that number even though they know it is full of crap. Kind of like the lines at Disney.
You wait an hour to get in for a 5 minute ride, but you are moving so it doesn't seem bad, and when you finally get in you notice that there are 6 more ride cars, boats whatever off to the side unused.
All of that has been carefully studied, they need so many people on the ride, so many waiting to get into an attraction, restaurant etc. But I digress.

Woah holy shit... I've flown a lot and there was just some turbulence one time. I never thought it was a big deal but then someone had a plane ride on youtube that was weak sauce to what I was trying to sleep through. I was watching the video like, "Is that really a big deal?"

Thankfully no doors ripped off or any of that... did someone get sucked out?

I flew with jet2 to Spain and then we landed quick then took off again we were told it was a pilot that was training it was well scary but we landed safely afterwards and got to where we were supposed to be 😅

I used to fly on one of these commuter airlines. My future wife was living in Maine and i i used to fly up and see her. They had Beechcraft 88s, a twin engine plane that holds 12 passengers. I was taking a flight one afternoon and the flight was delayed. I spent the afternoon waiting in the airport bar consuming many beers. Then i saw that the plane was ready. so I went to the gate and boarded the plane. As soon as the plane took off I had to pee really bad. There was no bathroom on the plane. The plane was going to stop halfway to pick up more passengers. When the door opened I got up and went into the terminal to pee. I could hear the pilot yelling at me. I just told him not to leave without me. When i got back the only empty seat was a single seat next to the door. The pilot tried to close the door but it would not latch. He kept slamming it but it would not lock. The door had a safety chain on the inside so the pilot pulled the door shut and gave me the chain and told me to hold the door shut and we would only be in the air for 30 minutes. So I held the door shut and when we were on the ground i opened the door and got out.

A couple of years later i was listening to Paul Harvey News on the radio and he told a tale of a commuter airplane in Maine that the door flew open in flight and a passenger fell out. Everyone thought he was dead. It turns out the passenger was able to grab the safety chain and hang on until the plane landed. Mr. Harvey said that the plane was a twin engine Beechcraft 88. Coincidence?

I don't think I've ever had an incident. Just late flights from time to time. My wife is on airplanes a few times a month, and she has never noted a problem. They're also several pilots in our neighborhood, and we chat with them every so often concerning these incidents which eases our worries.

No. I've been on over a hundred flights and never even been diverted. The worst scenario I've ever dealt with was a total cancellation of a flight by the airline. I've had flights with an onboard medical emergency and where police arrested a passenger before anyone was allowed to disembark but that's about it for drama.

I was on a flight between Tucson and Phoenix Arizona many years ago that hit a bad thunderstorm and severe turbulence and had to turn back. I made that flight often and because it is so short and over high mountains they never reached a really high altitude and it was usually pretty bumpy. And storms in that area can happen pretty fast with severe lightening.

Long before the 737 Max earned more ground time thRan an uber driver, I'd been in the camp of "If it's Boeing, I'm not going". I prefer to stick to ERJ175s domestically (though I'll put up with a CJ900 if I HAVE to. International long haul, I hear the Dreamliners are quite nice, but I'm just not rushed to find out.

the rabbi missed his flight and so thanks god for saving him from a crash. his followers say amen. but a few minutes later he said we should pray for the passengers...

and the rabbi was so great that the plane was saved, not only from crashing but arrived without any mis-hap. so great the prayers.

I've been on one that had to abort a landing and go around again, and the first time I flew was on a DC-10 shortly after the wing had fallen off another one in Australia. That's all.

Had my own emergency and had to eject from an F-18.

I also flew for the regionals and did corporate flying. I had several issues ranging from loss of an engine, to loss of ice protection in icing conditions, some no flap landings, misc electrical problems, etc.

Not emergency landing but emergency braking. The pilot missed his touchdown point and then had to brake with everything he had. I remember the seat-belt cutting in my stomach, those were some uneasy 30 seconds.

There once was a critical moment when that fat person went to toilet mid-flight. But the crew counter balanced by all going to the other side before the pilot needed to interfere.
