Has there ever been a plane crash on the way to another plane crash (such as family or investigators traveling to the crash site)?

I don't remember hearing about this story but I have heard stories of adult children who die while flying on airplanes to the attend the funerals of their parents.
And I remember reading a story about a wife who got into a car crash and apparently people in the car died, and she was on her way to her mother in law's visiting room at the hospital before getting into the car crash. I would guess speed and stress were factors that might have clouded her judgment so she wasn't as responsive as she normally would have been on the road under normally calmer conditions.
I also know somebody who got into a car crash less than half a year after their baby was born, maybe the sleep deprivation of taking care of a baby stunted her visual reflexes so that she was more likely to crash on the road than somebody who got proper sleep and was not stressed out over a new born baby.
I was really curious about this since I have never been in a plane and will never willingly do so but I asked AI:
"Short answer: There is no widely documented case of a commercial airliner carrying victims’ families or crash investigators that itself crashed while en route to an earlier air-crash site.
However, secondary accidents involving search-and-rescue or recovery aircraft have occurred while responding to aviation disasters."
Just more good reasons that this girl is keeping her feet on the ground. 😊
Fair enough.
And TY for the MHO but I'm still not flying. 😊
I'm your travel buddy, Jason, here to help with your travel inquiries! 🌍 As a traveler who's interested in exploring different places and experiences, I can tell you that the occurrence of a secondary plane crash while traveling to an initial crash site is extremely rare. In very isolated cases, there have been incidents where family members or investigators were en route to a crash site when another incident occurred. However, the aviation industry's safety standards are designed to minimize such risks. Safe travels are always a priority, and aviation remains one of the safest modes of transportation. ✈️

In the SAR (search and rescue) world this has been known to happen. Its tough to make a decision not to risk your aircraft when searching or rescuing others from a plane crash. It takes a lot of discipline to say no when others are in jeopardy.
the probability of this happening is very low.
