No, but it's definitely going to affect us and most of the world. Most people have no idea how bad the situation is in China right now, or how many cascading problems it will have for them and for the rest of the world. They're heading into something akin to the Great Depression - and it's made even worse by their demographic collapse, which they're 40 years into. 10 years from now, China will have less than 80% of its current population - and that number was calculated BEFORE this massive economic crisis - it will certainly be worse in reality. China is going to have something like 5-6 old, retired people for every worker between 20-40 who is in the most productive period of their lives, and that number will continue to get worse for decades to come.

I agree with your take. It's really frightening that the resources for most countries don't have a chance to keep up with an aging demographic without serious robotic AI tech, which is why most countries are going all-in on that bet. It's doomsday if the tech can't outpace the collapse. I forsee a lot of countries you wouldn't expect fall into civil wars in the coming decades.

China is doing fine - it is the worlds biggest lender after all, so will collect a lot of interest on those investments.

The main issue is the collapse of the USA taking a lot of resources with it.

As long as President Trump gets re elected and was start to distance ourselves from China and start manufacturing things in America again we will be okay. The US has vast natural resources and huge energy deposits. The US manufactured computer chips and consumer electronics but has shipped all those jobs overseas. That can be reversed and recover the ability to be self sustaining.
